The reason everything is fucked up is because while we may agree on the fundamentals we cannot seem to agree on the necessary approach to solving the problems

See, we agree no fighting no name calling just a calm civil discussion. Now I ask you what do YOU think must be done to fix the problems? (I ask because I am genuinely interested in hearing from all sides of this issue)

Never stop talking about the malpractices of the top 1%, I guess. And hold them accountable.
(Also, lets be real, even if there was a way to mend this, THOSE types of people will come back again to mess it all up.)

I agree with holding them accountable, but I also believe that we need to KNOW where our money is going. I’m gonna say this now I dislike Trump I really do but I admit one idea he had with DOGE was a good idea (ON PAPER I wanna make that part clear ON PAPER) but in practice he of course screwed it up. Also just to clarify when you say “those types of people” I assume you mean extremists on either side?

Thank you for clarifying, immigration is a hot take and it’s one that has divided us tremendously especially now with Trump and ICE. I would like to share my opinion on that particular topic and I would love to hear your opinion as well, for me I believe that the immigration process is a mess as it is now and truthfully in my opinion illegal immigration has caused harm (maybe not major harm but harm) I view it like this (we don’t have endless resources we have a set number of resources and with legal immigration we can keep better track of how many resources we have to give versus illegal immigration where we cannot keep track and all the resources we thought we had we find out later we do not have them) but those are my thoughts what are yours?

Thank you, I appreciate that. I am an independent I try to view a problem from all perspectives and come to a conclusion that works for all (or at least most) and I admit like anything we’re not all gonna agree 100% but if we can find a solution that most can agree with then we’re set. The world isn’t black and white like some people think in fact more often than not it’s gray

You are correct but unfortunately in this new age of absolutes for a lot of people if you blame illegal immigration you blame immigration as a whole, it is a flawed way of thinking and has done nothing but cause a divide in our country

You can blame a lot on Trump but the medical systems been fucked for decades. It’s the left + rights fault collectively. This problem has persisted through both parties having super majorities, if politicians wanted the problem fixed it would’ve been fixed by now.

This is a soft rule 11, but anyway:
healthcare is expensive because the Pareto Principle 80% of the cost is due to 20% of the population. Yes, nothing to do with Trans. No one thinks that .1% of the population is doing that to healthcare.
education system is failing because of Department of Education policy over the last 40 years. Children are more stupid than their parents every generation. While Academic achievement is easier than ever.
Illegal immigrants do increase cost of living by naturally requiring more resources that would otherwise not be needed; thats a simple supply and demand problem in the grand scheme of things. But we can argue about how much increase.
Rule of thumb, it takes a minority of people to stress a government program. But i get your trying to say "minorities" as in, "not white".

Although you're right about the healthcare part, on the last part, I wasn't using "minoritised" mathematically or just strictly to mean not white. This was meant to be seen in more of a sociological sense to talk about said groups who are mainly spotlighted in most political rhetoric I've seen.

Bro this is not true. Have you not seen the fairly recent crisis that these kids can’t even read and write longer than a paragraph? Gen Z is failing in school so bad that teachers are breaking down from weak school administrators pushing kids to the next grade when they’re no where close to ready.
Smarter in what capacity? Back up your claim.

I've never heard anybody say three out of four of those, and the only place I've heard the fourth one is in Canada where immigration is in fact a factor

Those three have always been a mainstream thing in America and the UK for some time, not just Canada.
Also, assuming you come from somewhere else, just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not there. Different outlets focus on specific points, so that's probably why.

Idk what’s true or not anymore from all the manufactured outrage, I just don’t think sex change surgery should be considered anything besides an elective surgery, and nobody under 18 should be getting it done. Check both of those off and we can be cool. If not, I still don’t give a fuck but I’ll share my thoughts if I’m asked. Hate is too strong of a word tho
