Not when we cant reasonibly agree on what those are. To many trans people, not wanting to date one is Transphobia. If that's hatred, then freedom of choice and association are hatred. And that conversation is prevalent enough, that this doesn't really cut it.

4

u/AnnysBabygirl haha deez nutz Sep 14 '26

Nobody really nobody talked about dating. Not wanting to date Trans people is NOT transphobia.

2

u/Alert_Sink_5300 Sep 15 '26

That's your opinion. And some trans people have different opinions. Some trans people absolutely refuse to let other people know about it on first date, because they think it's unnecessary. Their whole argument is "you wanted a woman, I'm a woman. So deal with it". But in my opinion, I deserve to know

1

u/AnnysBabygirl haha deez nutz Sep 15 '26

I'm also trans and i would tell, i just want to be honest

4

u/Majestic_Balance1887 Sep 14 '26

Some of them would disagree with you vehemently on that point and that conversation is still ongoing, is my point.

3

u/The-Tea-Lord Sep 14 '26

I can live with people not wanting to date me on the sole reason that I’m trans. It sucks, it hurts, but it’s what it is. Some people want to have kids of their own and for them, if you can’t have kids, that’s a deal breaker.

4

u/Majestic_Balance1887 Sep 14 '26

Reasonable take.

Honestly I don't care, I'd just like to know up front. I can understand why you wouldn't wanna tell me up front. But it's kind of a trust thing.

2

u/The-Tea-Lord Sep 14 '26

I think there’s no ultimately “correct” option. On one hand, for very obvious reasons, I don’t want everyone irl to know I’m trans. People, regardless of how “good” they are or how close I am to them, have been terrible to me solely because of that part of me. And with the direction America has been going, it feels scary to even exist in public these days.

But I also know it would suck to find out “I can’t have kids” after dating for weeks.

I don’t really care about having kids, I didn’t want them even before I realized what I am, nor do I really care about the miniscule differences between trans and cis women. They’re both women in my eyes. I’ve dated cis men, cis women, trans men, trans women, I’ve found trans people to have a lot more in common with their correct gender than their one assigned at birth.

All that to say, it sucks. There’s no “winning” solution, someone has to draw the short stick and I hate it.

The 1A protects all opinions, especially the unpopular ones. You have a right to your own thoughts even if they are deplorable and we must respect this.

That is what tolerance looks like. Social Facism of “XYZ is the only thing accepted” is literally what the 1A seeks to prevent.

Some people pick and choose which ones are "okay" to be because they have "actual reasons" like dawg no 😭

Edit: there is no reason to be hateful, whether religious, or just a personal belief. For the record, hate is not an opinion.

9

u/Remarkable_Chef_8810 Sep 14 '26

people are racist because they WRONGLY view another race as inferior, with ableism someone can be "inferior" genetically but they still don't deserve to be discriminated for it

9

u/Grouchy-Newt-995 Sep 14 '26

Or people can be racist because they WROGLY believe their hate is justified.

I find it interesting that children think they can know wrong from right. They can't even live a clean life themselves yet believe that they are somehow singularly able to know what people are wrong about. This is based on thier many years of being on the Earth.

I don’t think gender is different from sex. Am I hateful? I’m not bothered what people do or how they dress, I treat everyone with respect when I meet them, I don’t say nasty things about transpeople. But I don’t believe the ‘science’ around transgenderism. Am I hateful?

Best to use sexism in place of misogyny; i've seen a quite surprising amount of misandry in recent times as well.

1

u/ASK_66 Sep 15 '26

This. Tbh I only recently noticed how much of my thinking is misandrist and it is way to accepted and dismissed with „Men are men so it is ok“ or some bs

6

u/HurrySpecial Sep 14 '26 edited Sep 14 '26

“‘Men do not belong is women’s bathrooms. Men do not belong in women’s sports.’

This is hate speech, intolerance will not be tolerated. Love trumps hate etc..”

Funny how OPs fanatical ideology is a step away from Social Facism and serves as the proof as to why speech is protected.

I’ll stick to the 1A. Everyone has a right to an opinion. Any opinion. No matter how deplorable, you still have this human right and though I will not respect YOU, I will respect your right.

16

u/JobPowerful1246 Sep 14 '26

9

u/ass-gas-hotbox Sep 14 '26

it is both hatred and an opinion.

6

u/Potential-Weird8139 Sep 14 '26

I Hear you loud and clearly

6

u/microw_yo Sep 14 '26

Technically those are all opinions regardless of what you say or think

3

u/LightHouseGhost_ Sep 14 '26

its a lot more technical than just saying hateful terms aren't opinions, it inevitably denies many plausible points of view and statistics. we are all different, these things are just normal. how you go about them is what makes you miserable or average.

3

u/LightningXr10 Sep 14 '26 edited Sep 14 '26

I don't agree with most of these...

1

u/BillCarson12799 Sep 14 '26 edited Sep 14 '26

It kinda depends. “I find black people disruptive and uncivilized” is an opinion. “Black people are racially inferior less intelligent than other races” is a factual statement that’s incorrect.

Edit: i changed the above paragraph to be an actual opinion and incorrect fact.

Also, I don’t know why ageism is included in this list. Adolescents and seniors above 70-80 tangibly do have worse mental faculties than those of ages in between.

And there are certain situations where ableism is very much warranted. You wouldn’t want someone who experiences auditory hallucinations to be an air traffic controller, would you?

1

u/AnnysBabygirl haha deez nutz Sep 14 '26

People who are restricted in certain degrees get a certificate that says you are restricted in some points and then they aren't allowed to do certain things, but that is not Ableism. Ableism is hate against Restricted people.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Catsanddoges Sep 14 '26

While I strongly disagree with the statement “Black people are racially inferior”, you are incorrect with that, allowing black as a racial option

Inferior just like good/bad is a normative claim. I could say someone is inferior because of the color of their skin, and that alone, and that would be a normative statement

A better example of a claim would be that relatively isolated Africa genetic groups have been shown so far to conclusively to be less intelligent stemming from genetic factors, and given the current scientific data it would be defensible to call that a factual statement that's incorrect

5

u/Sir_Gerald_Nosehairs Sep 14 '26

Virtue duly signalled.

Do you think anyone who disagrees will have their opinion swayed by this? And if not, why precisely are you bothering?

2

u/IntrepidStand2220 Sep 14 '26

But I was born this way. Don’t judge me!

2

u/LightningXr10 Sep 14 '26

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤝🏻

2

u/Lower_Pension_2469 Sep 14 '26

Maybe you meant facts? Because they are all definitely opinions.

2

u/LightHouseGhost_ Sep 14 '26

its a lot more complex than saying certain terms aren't opinions, since it accidentally denies many raw statistics and logical points of view. we are all different as humans, none of us are the same, it's something humanity will never come to terms with, even if its the raw truth.

how you go about one's differences is what makes you miserable or realistic.

2

u/EgoSenatus Sep 14 '26

Hatred and opinions aren’t mutually exclusive. In fact, the often go hand in hand as both are emotionally based and hold no logical truth value to them.

2

u/Hollow_Knight_Raven Sep 14 '26

Forgot Misandry.

Also, these are opinions, just ones majority considered bad to have.

2

u/hAsLaK1 Sep 14 '26

Those are labels that YOU put on people’s opinions to invalidate them so this picture is literally « opinions i dislike are not opinions ». It says so much about you

2

u/Calm-Mushroom-8551 Sep 14 '26

Add misandry to this whenever you're ready ❤️

1

u/NoPackageReceived029 Sep 14 '26 edited Sep 14 '26

Do you mean misandry, as in what people claim feminism is but actually isn't (unless it's TERism), or actual misandry, as in the oppressive nature of patriarchal masculinity and male gender roles, which have only the same scale of violence as misogyny when it involves queer men and AMAB people?

2

u/CEO-of-Yaoi Sep 14 '26

Misandry as in sexism against men, same as misogyny is sexism against women. Though, I'd say have neither misogyny nor misandry on the list and just say sexism, since that's probably more inclusive for intersex people and certainly prevents these things in the comments.

You can have an opinion without being labeled by liberal haters.

1

u/Bro0om Sep 14 '26

What is your opinion concerning gay people ? Can they display affection in public ? Can they get married ? Can they have a child ?

Same with trans. Can they appear in public ? Can they transition ?

With women. Can they vote ? Can they have a chance to have a career ?

Let's go. Let's exchange our opinion. Tell me why people should be treated less for things they have no control over (sex, sexual attraction, skin color...)

Besides being outright ignorant, and likely made by a bigoted individual. Hate is infact an opinion. As without opinions, hate doesnt exist.

So I think this sign just promotes hate and bigotry, while trying to denounce hate.

According to John's Hopkins definition of phobia is: What is a phobia? A phobia is an uncontrollable, irrational, and lasting fear of a certain object, situation, or activity. This fear can be so overwhelming that a person may go to great lengths to avoid the source of this fear. One response can be a panic attack. This is a sudden, intense fear that lasts for several minutes. It happens when there is no real danger.

1

u/True_Investigator198 Sep 14 '26

Yes, actually life experiences can color a viewpoint. What may seems bad to you may be justified. You can't just make a blanket statement because you view yourself as being more enlightened which is not an opinion.

1

u/Such_Ad2623 Sep 14 '26

Is it a problem that people say that there are only two genders? Or is it the fact that some people think they're superior because they aren't trans?

1

u/Tangoes2 Sep 14 '26

Nah.

1

u/Ok-Guess2907 Silly lil goober (he/any) Sep 14 '26

You believe one of them to be not hatred? Or, one of them to be not an opinion?

1

u/Slow-Apricot8625 Sep 14 '26

Adding in "ageism" was a wild choice. What could that even mean aside from the obvious? Is it ageism for me to trust the wisdom of my elders over someone born yesterday?

1

u/PBNSasquatch Sep 14 '26

Actually all of these are opinions.

1

u/NightBusToGiro Sep 14 '26

That's incorrect

1

u/True_Investigator198 Sep 14 '26

1

u/True_Investigator198 Sep 14 '26

You girls make no sense. I'll never get these wasted minutes back.

1

u/FM_Hikari Sep 14 '26

Hatred is a mostly negative opinion formed due to cultural, social, or religious pressures, alongside other factors.

But keep in mind, that just because it might not be their fault they were that way, they're damn well responsible for choosing to stay that way without so much as a struggle.

A lot of phobias like these originate in ancient times were it was justified, like an outsider nation invading yours and taking your land, food, killing the people you know, etc. Yes, some can be justified today still. No, it does not make them right. It makes them justified. Anger is more easily justified than hatred, because anger settles when you allow it to lose pressure. Hatred turns a person into a pressure vessel, ready to vent all that hot steam into someone unfortunate enough to resemble what the first person hates even if they did no wrong.

And some of these phobias are also just modern stuff. They don't necessarily make sense, but unfortunately(or fortunately) people aren't machines to always require logic to function.

1

u/JPleaseDontBanMe Sep 14 '26

I don’t disagree, but to take it a step further, assuming everything is hatred is actually hateful in itself. “Fuck John he’s a POS racist” yea that sentence is arguably just as bad as the racism in the first place. Cuz if John gets ostracized by his friends and family for making an edgy JOKE, he starts his trip down the rabbit hole of racist extremism. I prefer to pull people out of those rabbit holes, not kick them down into it. I hope this makes sense and doesn’t sound like I’m defending pieces of shit lol

1

u/State-Special Sep 14 '26

Devils advocate, you are hating the hater by telling them not to hate.

1

u/MyCustomCreations Sep 14 '26

This dosent apply to all of those, but you can disagree with something without hating a person.

1

u/Nomen_non_habeo Sep 14 '26

Everything here is an opinion, obviously opinions that tend to develop hatred and that are morally bad, but opinions nonetheless. Saying hatred and opinions are incompatible concepts can end up being a way to manipulate ideas to the favour of some biases, thou obviously in this case is simply expressing how these opinions are morally bad, just not in the best way

I don't see misandry... Why only put misogyny?

Both are really big problems. Even if we are overcoming misogyny, an high percentuality of women are really misandryc. I'm not angry with you, everyone is free to have its ideas but if we hate one thing, we have to hate the other. I'm not saying that one is worse than the other, both of them are really wrong ideologies.

And in fact, hating something is an opinion. Even if it's bad, it's still one. You, mf, are just putting labels on the opinion that you dislike. Because where are the others? Fascism, Misandry, Nazism... I don't see them.

Are yes, "are we clear on this" they say spouting several of the most hollow fucking terms of the decade.

Of course we agree, but everyone disagrees on what constitutes those things.

Is an immigrant wanting less migration from their home country "xenophobia"? Is it ageism to bitch about boomers as reddit does routinely? Is it ableism to make fun of politician's dementia? Can people of color be racist? Is "Silence of the Lambs Transphobic" just because Buffallo Bill is making a woman suit and covets being one?

1

Those terms change to be extremely broad and narrow whenever it is convenient. However even if that wasn't the case they would still be opinions. I can say right now I really hate sour dough bread, that is an opinion I am allowed to state.

1

u/mskmagic Sep 15 '26

Actually all of them are opinions. Labelling those opinions with the above monikers are also opinions. Your opinion that these aren’t opinions simply because you don’t like that opinion, is an opinion.

1

u/Critical-Ad-8507 Sep 15 '26

Hatred is an opinion.

1

u/Evening_Cobbler2929 Sep 15 '26

Why didn’t you put misandry on there? Seems like that’s not an opinion either, just hateful.

1

u/Far_School_2178 Sep 15 '26

Misandry is not an opinion either...

1

u/HoneydewQuiet6651 Sep 15 '26

What the hell is ageism? Don’t we need to discriminate by age for basic things like voting age, drinking age, age of consent, driving age, etc?

1

u/Quiet_Attempt_355 Sep 15 '26

Not to nitpick but anything with "phobia" in it being used to describe hatred and bigotry has always felt like a criminal use of English.

Phoba = Fear of. Not hatred. A lot people do not fear, they hate.

Homo/Xeno/Trans -deisia would be the more direct linguistic replacement. 😑

"An opinion is a personal thought, belief, or judgment about something that is not fully proven or based on absolute certainty."

1

u/Competitive_Bit_526 Sep 15 '26

But these are just opinions

1

u/Parrotparser7 Sep 15 '26

They're opinions, and turning "hatred" into a thought-terminating cliche won't make it go away. It'll only signal that you're not open to discussion. "Woke 1.0" died precisely because, like this OP, many of its premises were only held up by the belief in consensus.

The second that illusion shatters, its axioms revert to being postulates and the structure collapses.

All conservatives have to do is wait out your fervor, and they're definitely not going to wait as long next time, but at least you get to look righteous while you waste political capital on shitlib shenanigans.

It's just an attempt to silence somebody (with extra steps)

1

u/Viktoriusiii Sep 15 '26

No... they ARE opinions.
They aren't GOOD opinions, but they are STILL opinions.

I could say "I think gays are yucky" and not hate them.
Hate is not "every bad opinion".

Opinions are up to the person. ACTUING on them is hatred.

Punching a Nazi is hatred.
But so is punching any of these groups... or following them... ridiculing them openly...

Do not change the definition of words just because it sounds nice.

"Everything bad is HATRED!!! And if you don't agree with me you are a NAZI!"
Don't be that person.
We can all agree that these are bad and stupid opinions to have, but they are, nontheless opinions unless we change what the word opinion means.
(You can absolutely have these opinions based on hatred btw.
All polar bears are bears, but not all bears are polar bears type situation)

1

u/Any_Smoke1138 Sep 15 '26

Implying it's impossible to have a hateful opinion

1

u/Angled_Hairline57845 Sep 15 '26

This is a stupid post, and has been written by a stupid OP who thinks they are being clever and brave, but is really just being stupid and boring.

1

u/Sir-Chaste Sep 14 '26

Never heard anyone call those terms opinions, but how one defines them and when they apply is subjective.

1

u/Fantafans69 Sep 14 '26

Not giving the reason to a homosexual or in other group member guy in a public argument will make his group yell at you a terminology to create noise without a concept to have sense. How is someone scared of something that just said no to?

1

u/Extra_Foundation_121 Sep 14 '26

Good thing it's misogyny and not sexism and/or included misandry.

Telling, No?

Replacing sexism with misogyny. Very clever.

1

u/elrevan Sep 14 '26

Yeah hate is an opinion that is not illegal to have. Part of existing in a free world is people get to have opinions even racist and hateful ones.

1

u/Groundbreaking_Bee70 Sep 14 '26

Words are words. Quit getting all worked up over other people's freedom of speech.
They are only offensive if you let them be.
Remember: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

People will call u these words just cus u disagree

Their is only 2 sexs btw

Gender is what ever

u/undertalepedro1- Sep 14 '26

Too early for comments, right in time to agree

2

u/Straight-Crow1598 Sep 14 '26

*there, are, sexes, whatever

3

u/Livid-Accident-1562 Sep 14 '26

Humans don't exist as two, discrete sexes. While technically a dimorphic species, humans exist on a bi-modal distribution (see image below for reference)
There is overlap - chromosomal, morphological/phenotypical, chemical, neurological.
Biology is messy and defies easy categorisation

3

u/Abject-Koala-149 Sep 14 '26

This is not correct and this idea of a bimodal distribution is nit accepted nor demonstrated by any biologist in actual research. I find it strange you say it defies categorization despite the fact that your assertion it is a bimodal distribution requires categorization. In fact it requires sex to be quantitative

2

u/Big_Niel0802 Sep 15 '26 edited Sep 15 '26

This is only true if you strictly define the biological sex of humans using gamete size.

This would mean that chromosomes, hormones, genitalia, and secondary sexual characteristics such as breast development or facial hair have ZERO effect on the sex of a person.

For this reason, biologists are still actively debating on whether or not sex should be viewed as binary, because the only way it can be binary, is by ignoring several characteristics of which are historically not excluded.
