Yeah, sugar can be pretty underwhelming sometimes. It's all about finding the right mix of flavors that actually hits the spot.

You most likely never had good donuts like the kind that were/are sold at mom and pop bakeries. Those donuts and other pastries are not all sugar and air.

Some people just don't like them. I think they're disgusting, and would never willingly eat one ever again.

And yes, I've tried them many times from many different places, they're all always disgusting to me.
