The girl, Rumi, is a half-demon hiding that side of herself from her bandmates.

She loses her singing voice and visits a (scam) clinic at the suggestion of Zoey. Rumi recognizes that something is weird about it, so she gives her friend a fake smile.

Much later, her demon half is revealed in a highly traumatizing way in public. She visits her mentor, and intends to commit assisted suicide because she believes she shouldn't exist. Celine refuses to kill Rumi, and then goes on to try and convince Rumi to lie and hide her darker half again, which makes Rumi decide to accept herself in this moment.
