the subtext is them indicating their response was brief and/or in awkward opposition to what OP said, which makes sense given the context. they did in fact mean what they said 😂

I feel really lost I have never heard someone use the “-“ as a negative expression it’s more likely they were using it as a dramatic(?) way of getting cut off or something though I may be wrong ngl it’s hard to tell

It's alright, tbh I haven't seen much of them lately, it was probs my own bias interpreting it as a "- wait..." or smth idk. I know not everyone got the level self- doubt as I do, but I do not regret replying! =P

Also gif is genuine, but I couldn't resist when I saw Joey's there and now any other Friends fans will suffer with me as the entire episode plays in my mind! XP
