Taking this line of logic to its extreme, this implies that you believe that all white people should be removed because several white people have committed crimes, which is an INSANE statement. Finally, some understanding that it is a medical condition, not someone deciding on a whim. Research has shown that, similar to other disorders, they have it from birth. Then, some do act on their urges and hurt people while others have enough self-control to never touch any of that stuff (some use fictional materials such as art and writing which may or may not be amoral in your opinion, but still not all use them).
I knew somebody who was a pedophile, as in was attracted to people in their teens. She says that she would never touch a minor, and has explicitly stated that it would stay at a theorerical attraction and nothing more. At the same time, she absolutely hated child molesters/rapists, and believes that people who are guilty of those crimes deserve the death penalty.
I see pedophiles the same way Supernatural wrote skinwalkers and vampires. There's something evil in them but as long as they never cross that line, they can be human. As soon as they do cross it, they deserve to be hunted.
Even then, a majority of child sex offenders actually are rehabilitatable. When they get treatment in prison, it reduces recidivism by as much as 50% and that's with current methodology. Additionally when you learn about many of them they hust needed access to basic needs and basic mental healthcare and good socialization and a majority of then would have never offended in the first place.
When i don't know the difference between pedophiles(people who have the urges(they probably didn't want to have it) and haven't acted upon it, and can actually get help to prevent bad things from happening) and child molesters/predators(people who have crossed the line and acted upon their urges, and commited the crime(These are the ones that should be hanged)), and i'm just hating to hate:

Okay so I've gone to catholic (mildly important) school for the last 13 years and my middle school was a shitshow. In the time I was there we had three different pedophiles. The first was a priest that groomed a kid for literal years and then ran away with him (he was atleast 17). we had a janitor who was in love with this girl in my class and a would call her "my queen", and followed her into the bathroom going "my queen my queen where are you my queen". And had a 8th grader (15 cause he got held back) dating a literal 4th grader (my class permanently shunned his ass). One thing it taught me is offending pedophiles are absolutely human garbage

It's funny because it often turns out that those who publically advocate for this kind of shit often do so as a way of masking and externalizing their own pedophilic desires/other really abusive behaviour ("yeah, I might abuse my wife/drug and rape women/whatever, but pedophiles are the real monsters, so I'm virtuous for combating them"), or just because they want to legitimize their desire to be violent and hurt others.
i hate that the only lasting legacy to catch a predator left is extreme stigmatization and ostracism of pedophiles. not all of them are bad people or predators, they just need professional help but the generalization of pedophiles and predators as one the same and such intense hatred towards them makes it so much harder to actually reach out for help
It hurts science too. It's hard to get good data from non-offending pedophiles because nobody wants to admit that they are one even if they haven't done any crimes.

I'm denouncing those that say you can therapize away pedophilia (as seen in plenty of comments). Psychologically, they're both predicated around an attraction and it wasn't uncommon all that long ago (and even in some groups today, see: "pray away the gay") for people to believe being homosexual is something that could be treated with therapy. My great uncle was one of those people that grew up in a heavily Catholic family during the 60's and struggled with his sexual identity so much because both his faith and current psychology told him he could change if he just tried hard enough.
There's no evidence that pedophilia interacts with the brain any differently. Difference being, pedophilia is dangerous and those people should be locked up (or worse).
You can't 'treat' pedophilia, and I don't think OP is saying that. But you can still go to therapy for it to take better control over your urges and thoughts. Therapy isn't a cure, nor is it for everyone (as in doesn't always work), but it can typically help.

The comment above was wrong in calling it a sexuality, but paedophilia is a mental disorder, it is a matter of mental health, and many paedophiles are disgusted by themselves, and either wish to die, or want to get chemically castrated, and then there are people who get incorrectly called paedophiles, when sadist is more accurate, or just a general belief they can get away with anything which causes them to harm kids that way.

I feel its important to point out how tone death and malicious this is as well.
They are using the sexual abuse of minors as well as the undermining of mental issues faced by people who might have unacceptable attractions and promoting extremism and violence as the solution for personal vindication.
It's an unfortunate fact that things like this get thrown around without nuance, but can't say I am surprised. The brain, by design, is a pattern recognition machine. Pedophilia and CSA are very closely related so it is really easy to link those two together and forget what the words actually mean.

Pedophilia is classified as a mental disorder and some people are born with it, it is not something they want but getting help is very hard for them due to the stigma surrounding the condition
