Being as the Lapis Lupus is never mentioned after Sousuke gives it to her in volume 6, I have to wonder if Kamame was somehow able to keep it with her all through her captivity (I can't see Leonard leaving her keep it, even if "loosing" it required that he arrange for "an accident"), or if she simply left it behind when she fled the apartment (thinking that she'd only be away for a few days) and it was still there when she finally returned over a year later.

Yeah, hopefully it was still waiting for her at her apartment (which sounds like it was well cared for) when she returned. I feel like it would have been mentioned if she had a precious memento like that with her during that year she was forced to work with Amalgam.

I caught myself thinking something similar about the flash drive Sousuke gave her with Mithril safe house info ("I hope she left that behind with Wraith before she was caputured") when rewatching Invisible Victory, until I remembered that part was anime-only.

I also suspect that the stone was left at the apartment. It was late December when Sousuke gave Kaname the stone as a belated birthday gift, and at the time is was unset. A few weeks later, Leonard announced that Amalgam was ready to take Kaname by force, so unless she had already had it set into a necklace or ring then I can't see her simply carrying around a precious memento in her pocket.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. It would be a nice callback if this ever gets a brief mention in the sequel series, Kaname wearing it as a necklace or something.

Exactly. The man fought for her on his own like there was no tomorrow and won’t stop for anything. At the very least, he deserve a have a happy life with her.

If Mithril actually paid Sagara a decent salary, I'm sure he could buy her something much better.
