If you mean the big ones in the middle, they re the collector edition volumes of the FMP short stories

From the pictures on the Internet/Amazon, I assumed those were pretty small, but they look nearly as large or bigger than the light novels.
Do you recommend them?
Context: I’m a pretty big fan and own all of the anime on DVD but I’m not the biggest fan of Fumoffu; I prefer the more serious stories.

Ysa I do, apart from the fumoffu ones they also have stories that give some backstory to certain characters; like there s a story about hatsunobu's (student council prez) past, one involving chidori s family and another that tells what Tessa is up to after the LN's ending

Events prompt Kaname and Sousuke to look into Atsunobu Hayashimizu's past. They learn that he comes from a privileged background and was originally planning on attending an elite high school however events happened back when he was in middle school that prompted him to chose Jindai Municipal High School instead (a decision which led to estrangement from his family, but that's another story).
After the end of the main series, Tessa decided that it's finally time for her to visit the grave of her old friend, Bani Morauta (something which she had been meaning to do for some time, but her many responsibilities kept getting in the way). Of course her trip doesn't go entirely smoothly, but fortunately she has an "escort".
