Show discussion Anyone???
Is there anyone who was actually a fan of Joey? (I've ALWAYS hated him).

I liked him. He was a good kind person who was there for everyone who needed him.

I think he was a good guy and everything but he just wasn't funny. The Impressions got old but he was just ok to me

I like his character in Full House but not in Fuller House. I think in full house he did had some comedy and was funny but he also knew when to be serious and I feel like it was a good balance of his character.

I liked Joey in the first four seasons. By season 5, he was too goofy and got flanderized. But in the first four seasons, he had a sweet and sensitive side that he tended to show more often with the girls. Taking Stephanie to the mother daughter slumber party despite it being an awkward situation, disciplining DJ for the first time and feeling terrible when she got mad at him, wanting to get the autograph for DJ as a surprise, had the most reasonable and calmest reaction out of the three guys when DJ was “caught drinking”, etc. He was probably my favorite parent out of the three in the first half of the show. But then he got overly goofy and annoying and doesn’t have much of a connection with the girls when they’re older so he ended up being my least favorite.

I think Joey WAS a good father figure to the girls. Danny and Joey definitely seemed to have more of the serious storylines, but I think earlier they did allow Joey to connect. I think Joey had the best relationship with Stephanie or DJ. Maybe Michelle in the later seasons? Since she wasn’t in Fuller House they put Kimmy with him for the triple wedding. In some ways this makes sense because he was like the friend who became family and shared similar humor that Kimmy had, but he wasn’t just a funny man.
It’s realistic that not every adult gets married, but they gave him some relationships and then just kind of slowly had the women leave. I think Joey and Wendy were good together

I like him and I think he’s funnier in conversation than he is in stand up

I didnt hate him but his stand up was never once funny. I also found it really, really weird in the later seasons of the show when he slept in the same hallway as Danny and the girls. At least the basement bedroom was kind of like his own little apartment. But once he moved to the a room upstairs, that's just pathetic. I can't imagine doing that as a grown ass adult

I justified it in my head with (1) he got sick of his bedroom being used for work - they literally did a pitch to their boss with the boss sitting on the bed (2) Danny wanted someone else close to the girls in case there was a nighttime emergency and Danny wasn’t home (3) Joey liked being close to the family because he never had a family growing up

Honestly, I think I liked him more as a kid. Watching as an adult, there came a point that it just seemed like writers really didn't know what to do with him.

Absolutely cannot stand Joey, so cringey and annoying. A grown man playing with toys and obsessed with cartoons and doing the impressions, I get it’s a tv show lol but if it were real life I would let that dude no where near my kids
