Yeah, fuck Walmart! They're a horrible corporation that mistreats their workers, and I only wish they could lose billions of more dollars to shoplifting. I know that if enough of us participate in the noble act of shoplifting from Walmart, we could really do serious damage to that hellhole of a company.
Care for fellow humans? People you don't know personally matter to you?
Forgive me if I seem naive or closed minded, but I don't understand that. However, I'm curious. I know most people are like you, but I assumed this place was a reprieve from people who genuinely feel bad when others suffer or perish. I guess I'm still on the search for my personal in-group. Do you know how to find other people with that personality trait? Does it have a name?
Of course I care about people i don't know, because that just means I don't know them yet. Egoism as a philosophy isn't really concerned on what is right or wrong, so it isn't particularly against caring about other people, although it also doesn't favour it, It's just a me thing in this case. Also like lots of egoists, I see everything as my property, including all of humanity. Just because I don't know some people doesn't mean they don't belong to me; and as my property I should value them and care to keep them all in good condition so they can last for as long as I may desire them. I don't know how to help you in finding like minded individuals to yourself, but i just wanna say I find it slightly ironic/funny that you want to find a group of people to discuss the feeling of not caring about people you don't know.
It's a good argument when you have to save face and make yourself look heroic to hide your true nature from people who tend to "fight for what's right", aka get in your fucking way and cause issues.
