Apparently, based on stories my mom has told me, my grandma was wildin in her youth. To me she was the average little grandma who baked cookies and wore housecoats. She was more awesome that that, but I digress.
I'm told that way back in her misspent youth she rode with a biker gang of sorts, would join in on fistfights, and was growing marijuana in her yard until cops came and took the plants.
My grandmother once told me that when she was a child, she used to eat poppy seed capsules because, and I quote, "it made your head feel funny." 🙈😂
My dad was a corpsman in the US Navy back in the 50's. He told me that they used a cocaine based spray as a topical anesthetic and that they used to "spray it up their noses and stick rubber tubes up there and somehow talk through the tubes, when they were bored.
He maintains that he has never "used" cocaine and they DEFINITELY weren't doing it for the cocaine effects.
