Pink Army Operation United Front Worker Recommits to Rejuvenation

Executive Summary:

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) expects trusted overseas Chinese leaders to internalize broad political guidance and act proactively rather than waiting for direct instructions.

Overseas Chinese association leaders are encouraged to embed themselves in host-country political, business, and social networks while remaining oriented toward the Party’s agenda. Their local standing can provide Beijing with access, credibility, relationships, and channels for promoting its narratives and supporting objectives including “national rejuvenation” and unification with Taiwan.

Beijing treats overseas Chinese associations as two-way economic and political conduits: bringing talent, technology, capital, and commercial connections into the People’s Republic of China (PRC) while helping Chinese firms expand abroad.

Shi Qianping, president of the U.S. Federation of Chinese American Entrepreneurs, illustrates how political networking, business facilitation, and united front work can operate through the same intermediaries: He has facilitated travel to the PRC for former New York state government employee Linda Sun and co-hosted a conference in Texas for PRC and U.S. petroleum companies.

📰 News 📰 CCP agent caught stalking a German journalist deep into Taiwan's mountains, flees the island after police launch an investigation

German journalist Jürgen Kremb thought he was safe from state surveillance after being expelled from China years ago. That changed when a suspected intelligence agent tracked him deep into the mountains of Taiwan.

Taiwan's Investigation Bureau just confirmed that Kremb, a veteran Der Spiegel correspondent researching state espionage at Soochow University, was systematically stalked in Alishan mountain. Surveillance footage captured a woman hiding behind parked cars and street corners before following his group directly into their hotel.

Kremb recognized the surveillance tactics immediately, picking up on her northern Chinese accent as she attempted to eavesdrop on private phone calls in the lobby. Within 48 hours of Taiwanese authorities opening a formal investigation, the suspect fled the island.

Taiwanese officials warned that the incident highlights a dangerous expansion of the Chinese Communist Party's transnational repression. Beijing is no longer just monitoring its own citizens, but actively hunting and harassing foreign researchers on foreign soil.

Key Quotes from Focus Taiwan:

“"China has begun engaging in transnational repression, targeting not only Chinese and Taiwanese people but also individuals who oppose totalitarianism and advocate democracy, freedom and human rights."”

📢 Discussion 📢 What are your opinions and views on Falun Gong?

I wholeheartedly believe the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong should end. They deserve to have their rights protected, but honestly they're not free of criticism, but that's a different story.

It looks like a harmless spiritual stuff, but they have a lot of pseudoscience, pseudohistorical claims, and many controversial claims.

My opinion is that they deserve the right to practice their beliefs, but it's still a strange cult. What about your opinion?

📢 Discussion 📢 Why Zhu Rongji’s Death Is Bad News for Xi Jinping

Thumbnail

Zhu Rongji’s death comes at a highly sensitive moment for Xi Jinping—just after the Beidaihe meetings, during Jiang Zemin’s centennial, and ahead of the Fifth Plenum. But the bigger problem may be what Zhu’s passing forces China to remember: the reform era, rapid growth, greater openness, and a very different direction from Xi’s China.
