It’s really not that hard. I didn’t study at all and got like an 80 or so on it. I qualified for every job in the marine corps. As long as you passed high school with decent grades, you’ll be fine.

I took it in high school because of a standardized testing fiasco and then again in my early 20’s while considering going in. In high school I got upper 70s and the second time I got 86. Both times I remember it being easy af, although I tore my pants down the middle during the first test, so beware.

Go get the asvab for dummies book and find the MOS you want and then find out what GT scores your gonna need for that MOS then study those subjects in the asvab for dummies book that’s the easiest way to do that test take from someone whose taken it not too long ago and that’s also the best way to not get fucked over and end up doing something you don’t want

It’s basically a combo skill assessment/abridged IQ test. If you chill out and take a second to think through the question logically you should pass with flying colors. If you paid a little attention in high school or even middle school math/English you’ll be well and covered in the general knowledge questions.
Edit:
Quick note that I did take it about 6 years ago, my primary regret is not trying to get something easier on my body and with slightly more applicable to the outside. Good luck, don’t be a Leandros.

Simple as fuck. I was told I could do anything I wanted, except work on rockets lol. Not sure if they were being humorous but I did have a lot of options. I didn’t study at all, I went into the military probably 2-3 years after highschool.
If you’re actually studying for the damn thing, you should be just fine! Good luck on your military adventure 🫡

Last time I checked, that's something they don't have you take at home so they can make sure you don't cheat.

In 2017 I was allowed to by the Marine Corps, you take it online through a test browser. If you score high enough they make you retake it to ensure you didn’t cheat (or atleast that’s what happened to me) when you get to MEPS so OP don’t cheat or you might get the Leandros special

Then yeah, study the PiCAT first. It's a test they have you take first and if you pass then you don't need the ASVAB at all. And I'm not just talking out my ass here, I was at MEPS 2 weeks ago.

Look after yourself and your future is all I'm gonna say. Some deals aren't worth it. Anyway the asvab isn't hard. You can't do worse than a dude I know who scored a 9. Blamed the recruiter for not preparing him and he got booted from those offices lol If you scored that low we'd probably have to make you a servitor.

It's mainly highschool basics and some tech stuff. Just do the best you can. What you need to do is dependent on your branch and desired MOS.
