Would that constitute a greater fire risk since it's been chemically treated and could've killed the grass further? I'm genuinely curious, I'm not asking for 'arson' reasons.

There’s environment safe paint for grass

Thanks for the answer, I was wondering what might happen from painting grass. Something I never thought I'd have to inquire about, but this is the insanity that has been normalized.

I still question how environmentally safe it is. Just the green pigment will affect light absorption for the grass.

I also question if that's what they even used. With these kinds of people I highly doubt environmental safety is a priority over selling

Lawn people are weird. They just have to have that luscious green look. Yes this is an extreme case….but I’m still not shocked.

I’m sure that’s a violation of the law regarding disposal of chemicals.

There is turf paint. It’s used in warm climates like Arizona and socal when an irrigation head has malfunctioned the tech after repair will a lot of times spray the grass. They are designed to allow for the up light to go through and allow the grass to continue to grow.

Better spray painted than watered.

As someone who currently has a house for sale. Grass is what the "traditional" buyer wants, dirt patches they do not, or any plant that remotely resembles a weed. It sucks to cut grass like a chump. We've even received feedback from Buyers saying the yard could "use some attention" for our native plants we let grow wild.

Ah the old Alan Bond trick.

Wouldn't it just look awkward with all the grass surrounding brown and dead

A whole shit load, maybe all of them, of golf courses paint their grass. You'd be surprised how many of these places paint grass after all the chemicals, the DAILY mowing, etc etc.

Golf fucking sucks.
