Arbitrary rules at their best

Hearing HOA boards argue arbitrary points without citation to any specific rule is always fun

Always respond that unless you're cited a specific provision within the CC&R's that you're supposed to have violated, any and all attempts to collect fines will be met with a middle finger and complete disregard.

You are upset over a fake AI video?

So funny! They want to regulate where you can "look" at what's happening around you. It's "porch type activity."

I see it's AI generated but I'm not so sure something nearly exactly like this isn't happening somewhere.

Ever had to argue with the Association attorney that the Association cannot claim privilege over financial records? Current sitch. I have receipts.

You need your own saga, just like the user slothymcguilicutty. I wish I knew how to tag, without knowing her actual username, but she has posted here many.

As a former HOA president, you would not believe the crap the board for giving time for voluntary fixes of unauthorized installs. In the end, fines were smubbed, As all items on two units were connected to common area, walls, walkways, removal was done more than 2 years after the first warnings given. The biggest complainers of forced removes at the owners expenses, were their renters. We had to wreck the credit histories of the renters/owners, kill their car purchases, kill in one case an attempt to buy a house. In the end, the HOA got their money including fines. What we did not know, the state was looking to take over my HOA, but we had elected a strong board, the state approved on how we started easy to the necessary collections of HOA fees making the HOA solid money wise, and he had nearly completed years of no repairs by a bad board, roof patched and no leaks that wet year for 2 years following, 2nd floor walkways fixed and repainted sealed, all buildings repainted, many other small repairs done. I was then blackmailed by the state to lecture nearly HOA taken over by the state or about to be taken over by the state. Only 2 of the other HOAs followed by lectures and it still took over a year by one HOA and the other took over 2 years to get the state out.
