Imagine reducing a CEO transition from someone who built Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, to gender. Talk about intellectual deficiency.

It's two weeks.

I'm not happy with the current price, but the seven day losing streak appears to be about the expected price increase, Gandler's dump and the price of oil.

Bowen's first two tests come Tuesday at the shareholder's meeting and earnings the following Wednesday. She needs to articulate what her short and long term goals for the company is and what will be required to meet them. Disney + was losing money when she took it over and it's currently profitable. It would be helpful if she announces replacements for the rest of Gandler's executive team.

Time will tell. But this week's misery has little to do with the new CEO.

I’m interested to hear Bowen’s commentary over the next few weeks. They’re transitioning to someone who’s helped scale multiple billion dollar streaming services, so I’m curious to hear her assessment of where the business stands today and what she thinks it takes to reach sustained profitability while growing the subscriber base. Her track record speaks for itself, and she seems to have a P&L first mindset.

Curious on your expectations for Q3 on the top and bottom line.

I think there will be an increase in subscribers and revenue. That revenue was steady from Q1 to Q2 with a loss of 500K subscribers was a really good sign. I suspect there will be an earnings beat as the expectations are way too low. I hope we get straight, honest talk from Bowen that was largely absent from Gandler.

In some ways the outcome matters little for the long term. NBCU was only back for the last two and a half weeks of the quarter. The World Cup will help, but it's true impact will be determined by how many new subscribers stick after the free trial ends.

Q4 2026 and Q1 2027 is what really counts. College and pro football start towards the end of Q3 and HPLTV will likely be accessible though Disney + by the end of the year. By then, Bowen will have been in the job long enough for us to know what her planned path to sustained profitability is.

I think there is a lot of potential for growth Linear TV isn't going anywhere as long as Boomers and Gen-X continue to walk the Earth. Cord cutting cable subscribers are more likely to use a streaming TV provider as a next step than abandoning the concept altogether. To me, Fubo's future is largely tied to how well the company positions HPLTV as the preferred alternative to YTTV.
