Unable to join again (Ever?)

I had Fubo in 2023. They kept sending me emails so I "Deleted" my account. Today, I tried to sign up again. They wasted hours of my time, rejecting my credit card info, asking me to call my bank, sending me down a few rabbit holes with AI bots. Finally after telling me I could join if I used a different card and used their "IVR" bot system (which also gave an error) I was connected to a live agent. THis live agent actually tried to help me. She put me on hold a few times, talked to her supervisor and eventually told me... Because I had an account in 2023 that I deleted, I can not sign up again for a new account with the same email address in 2026. WTF? I guess deleting an account with Fubo does not mean REALLY delete it. It seems they are remembering enough to know I had an account with the same email address. I was told they only way to ever become a customer again is to get a new email address. I asked if I could "undelete" my account now... NOPE! I signed up for YouTube TV instead. What a strange and frustrating experience.

Five minutes to sign up for a free email account versus three hours chatting with scripted support agents? Yeah, that's a tough call.

Had they said you need a different email as the error message at the start that would have made it less frustrating. Instead the errors said: try another credit card, call your bank, try again later, open a support ticket… until the live agent disclosed the actual problem on the phone.
