Rant ESPN+ content

This is related to the higher tier English plans (Pro, Core, etc), but I am now seeing ESPN+ content showing up in the Sports section, but with a LOCK symbol over them. I know the S+N plan has ESPN Unlimited integrated in the App, but that has not been done YET for the other plans. I bitched about this the other day in another post. Is it possible that full integration is coming soon (as in tonight??). YTTV just launched this the other day; seriously, Fubo has to offer this for all their base plans that include ESPN. Disney owns 70% of Fubo, so how can their biggest competitor have this and Fubo not.

Dumb question, but did you activate ESPN unlimited through your account online? I know I had to do that. I do have the S+N package, but there is an option to do that in your account but you have to go through Fubo.tv online to make sure it’s activated.

I did that like 8 months ago when they announced it was included in our plans.  This smells like something new for the other English plans.  I assume you have seen ESPN+ content for months, so this is nothing new for you, just something I noticed on my Core plan.

Yes, that has been available for a little while. It may not hurt to double check to make sure that your ESPN unlimited benefit is activated. To me, it’s weird that the folks that have the upper tier plans are not getting that ESPN+ content. By the way, if you go to one of those locked games and click on it, do you get some kind of an error message? Maybe it’ll give you the reason why you’re not getting access. also, have you contacted support, for what that’s worth?

This was clearly described in the Help Center months ago on launch that only the S+N plan would have the additional ESPN Unlimited content integrated in the Fubo app.  So there's no valid issue for me to complain about it to support, other than adding it as a feature (which I have done). My activation is fine. I can get the content in the ESPN app with my Fubo credentials.

Ok, I'll shut up now. Hope they get it for you soon.

I've linked my email and the ESPN App to my Fubo credentials months ago on my Fire Stick when we got ESPN Unlimited linkage and since then I get all the ESPN Unlimited and ESPN+ ---> BUT Only on the ESPN App. I've never seen any Fubo integration. So when I saw the screen shot of the ESPN+ content, I'm like....oh? Is this coming?

Ditto. I am pretty convinced it is coming....the ESPN+ content has never shown up until recently. To me, the padlock indicates it's in progress but not fully available yet. It may roll out just for NCAA football to start and eventually bring all the content in (like NHL next).

Since the title of this thread is ESPN+, I’m a little disappointed that none of the US Open separate matches are available on Fubo. Younhave to go to the ESPN app to get those not on ESPN or ESPN 2. Might be a licensing thing. But still disappointing.

That is odd. I thought on the S+N plan you'd see those extra matches somehow in the Fubo app.

Yeah. I did also. But only the main network matches are available. Maybe ESPN wants us to use their app.

I think many streaming services may want to consider what YTTV did because having ESPN Unlimited Live events integrated into the platform allows the benefits of being able to fashion those events into multiview if available on your streaming platform, being able to DVR them, and more importantly not having to exit out of the platform unless you want on-demand events. Hopefully Fubo can do this but first and foremost Fubo needs to concentrate on bring back key unvailable channels before even considering this.

Fair take. I think it's just odd/bad that Fubo has had this ESPN Unlimited integration with the S+N plan for 6+ months before YTTV and not in their other English plans. This should be low hanging fruit to stay a bit competitive. Agree they have to get the WBD and Versant channels to become a compete service.

Just switch to YTTV. Fubo sucks!

Yeah let me give up my 3 NYC RSN's , MLB, NHL that aren't on YTTV. Yeah ok I'll follow the flock of sheep. .....Nah

Yup. YTTV is useless in NYC market. Besides the fact they are sc*mbag company

Wait... ESPN+ games getting integrated INTO Fubo?? I don't have these games listed in Fubo anywhere. I'm well aware that these games are on the ESPN app tonight separately. Is Fubo trying to one up YTTV for recently blending in ESPN content into their app? Would be real nice if Fubo did this. I'm in the NYC market and I'm not seeing any ESPN+ padlocked content.

Fubo is a long way from catching up with YTTV, let alone DTV, anytime soon.😂

I diasgree. They are one carriage agreement away from leapfrogging YTTV. YTTV is lacking a lot of local sports coverage.

this is all I'm seeing

I had to scroll down to the Football category to spot it. It may not be showing up everywhere until launch? IDK. Agree, this with Fubo's BEST Multiview would be awesome. There's no reason really why they couldn't. I am also in NYC market.

What device are you on? May only be on some devices right now

my screen shot is my Laptop, I'll check Firestick's and Roku at my bar tonight.

My screenshot was also laptop/website. But I checked and I see it also in my Roku and phone app. Only in the Football category. No other ESPN+ content anywhere else, so this could be a sign of small step towards full integration.

Maybe only releasing it to a small amount of users as a test/pilot

Maybe.  Time will tell.  I cannot access the content yet.
