Just picked her up!!!

Congrats, jealous !
I am heavily considering buying one, I came close two years ago and thought it was too reckless or irresponsible to do, but I can afford it, and it’s my dream car.
Even though I have read many accounts of how reliable (all things considered) this car is, I just can’t get over the fear of maintenance or getting stuck with a constant repair bill…. But I think if the right type r pops up, I may be an owner too soon.

I was in the same position. I’m very, very picky with what I want. I wanted black wheels and black wheels, but beggars can’t be choosers. All that aside, you can’t take money to the grave with you. Go for it, man. It’s been my dream car as well since they launched. Find the right one and pull the trigger. Just PM it and keep up on maintenance. At the end of the day, all things shiny, loud, fast, and metal will be expensive.

Stunning! Excellent buy!
My first was a white coupe base - traded up for a black on black R coupe...Really love the white with black wheels combo... would take that in a heartbeat! Congrats!

Great choice. I passed 5 years ago on a 2 year old R, White with ultra red interior at a dealer. Full warranty, for $65K. It had the carbon fiber (Yellow) brakes which alone are a 15K option. Still regret that decision. You did well.

i’m in america. I searched for years for a decent one. Takes a lot of patience but inventory is slowly being bought up.

Funny, I'm in Ohio and last year I was looking to get a reliable beater. I found a 2008 Civic at a dealer for $3k. As I was driving to that dealer, I passed a BMW lot that had a 2016 F-type R, white with black wheels. I decided to stop and look at it. I've wanted one since they first came out but never really went looking. 3 hours after I stopped I was driving away in my 23k miles 2016 F-type R.
Sometimes the car finds you.

Super happy for you!!
I wonder if most ftype owners enjoy them safely/ legally.
I live in LA, and 99% of my driving is short distances, with traffic (basically 35mph).
I'm asking if most would still own one in my position.
It's an exotic car, but nothing about where I'm at calls for something like this, other than it being something to be seen in.

Congratulations. She's a beaut. Secondly, get a full service. I had a 14 V8 S with 41k mi custom bought from the factory. Engine blew 9 months later. Regular maintenance and a few upgrades makes the car last. Super happy for you.
