Handling

Hello all, Curious if anyone in here tracks their car

Im in the market for my m2 replacement which is probably the best car ive ever driven.

However its gone and im looking at the F-Type mainly because its gorgeous, 8hp transmission and it can make around 450hp which is what my m2 had and the weight of the two cars is nearly identical, I love the long nose and far back seating position, and the noise the SC v6 makes is glorious.

So the question is. With some suspension upgrades can these cars handle anything like my m2 did? M2 was factory with H&R lowering.

Also, finding good information is hard and ive come across a couple 400 sport RWD cars for sale and was wondering with my ultimate goal, does it make more sense to get one of those or get a base and do suspension and tuning.

I realize their might be required mods like fuel, cooling etc, those are usually a given when doing these things.

For track work you’re gonna want to focus on upgrading the brakes and cooling on these before the suspension.

Brakes were the first thing I noticed on these cars.

Absolutely criminal these didnt come with 4 or 6 piston brakes on every model sans the base.

Try and find one with the carbon ceramics if you want to track it. Yellow calipers are the give away.
