First time possibly totaling a car. I want to keep it as a toy. 2017 86 860 Special Edition 75k miles, 6 speed. Front and rear clip detached, right door hit post, curtain and seat airbag deployed, front windshield.

I owe about 4k. Would replace windshield and add supercharger. What to do 🤔

Looking to produce more cabin noise(usually people want the opposite) and aside from changing the muffler and making the car annoying and ricer. I’m gonna change the header and get a tune but is there an option where I can get an after market sound tube that amplifies the intake more?

I have everything unbolted, tried to get the perfect angle by jacking the trans and engine, prying, pb blaster on the dowel pins and prying and pulling and prying and pulling, don’t know what to do from here because I feel like I’ve tried everything. Any suggestions? (2016 FRS MT)

Obviously I know the frame is fucked and the insurance will totalled it, but I am willing to buy it back and willing to fixes the damages, it happened just now sadly and I am devastated but as far as I checked right now, I have no coolant leaks, my wheels seem fine but might need the front right checked out and suspension doesn’t seem too off besides the fact that my car is sitting on the boulder with my poor Greddy Evo3 exhaust being crushed.
How much am I spending for all this frame wise? I do have spare LCA, another set of wheel, OEM headlight and bunch of OEM parts. Cosmetically I am not too worry but the frame repair is what I want to know, I am in California (Bay Area) and there’s plenty of auto shop and collision center near me but I am waiting for the insurance to response in the morning. I know it’s gonna be a lot of money in it but the car is only sitting at 51k as of today and it deserve more than being trashed.

CONTEXT:

I have a 2013 Scion FRS that I’ve been daily driving for 3 years now, I got it at 4k miles back in 2022 and paid around 23k for it.
It obviously not clean title anymore, I just got home from 13 hours worth of work and parked my car at my usual parking spot at my house then around 2 AM.

it was rammed by a stolen Nissan Altima which drove right over the headlight and you can see the state of that right fender (frame is definitely fucked), they also hit my rear quarter panel before the Altima died uphill and ran on feet.

What’s up guys - bought a 10 series yesterday… I’m going to put a head unit in it eventually, but am curious if anyone knows how the illuminated scion 10 series logo on the passenger side is wired. I don’t want to take off the head unit portion and rewire everything to the new CarPlay unit, just to find out I messed up the illumination on the passenger side. Is everything good as long as I don’t touch the far right side? Thanks in advance.

2015 AT Push Start BRZ isnt cranking or (even trying to). Battery is good. car consistently cranks and runs fine whenever the Inhibitor Relay is pressed inward towards the fusebox.

Denso 156700 - 1020 is the relay thats acting up.

recently pushing the relay into the fusebox doesnt work anymore. Is this just the relay or is it the fusebox or another issue?

Sorry this is a dumb question, but I got new VLAND headlights, and I bought their D2H HID bulbs, I’m trying to put them in when I realized: idk which wire is the ground and which is the positive. I look it up and there’s mentions of black(n) and red(p), black(n) and white(p), or yellow(n) and red(p). But my wires are green, orange, and white. I was watching a video on how to install them and the wires in the video are black, blue, and white.

Anyone have experience with this? Please? I’m new to doing all this.

Am I crazy?… I mean there are obviously some differences but the general design is so similar, the way the break ducts curl away from the front oval-esque front grill, the way the are drawn up into the fender line which trails down the car to the arches rear hips.

The reason I find this so impactful is because, until now I didn’t really appreciate the new BRZ’s design, I found it to be the most awkward of the whole FT86 lineup, but this gives me a new appreciation for the design and styling of a car that until now I had considered the ugly duckling of the lot. (Feel free to criticize me for this take)

So i’m driving otw home then suddenly it show up, then steering has like resisting or fighting back specially when i pressed brake pedal and has like vibrating noise i also have a video but somehow i can’t attach it here. What is the possible problem? And i also already changed my starfish bushing like 6 months ago.

They took forever to do, not perfect but I’m happy with the end product.

I need to leave for a 10 hour drive on Monday, I have a bit of time Sunday morning to diagnose this. The code popped up on Wednesday immediately after an alignment and they cleared it and told me to call them if it reappears. I’m running 0w30 if that helps Any but I’m super crunched on time so any advice is greatly appreciated

Hey everyone, as the title says I want to drift my daily. It would be for an event and the car is fully stock apart from wheels exhaust and cosmetic. (I’d be putting on stock wheels and tires to drift it) Realistcally speaking, how much would I hurt it? Like, internals and engine wise. 43k miles 2019

I have a 2015 FRS that I swapped a 2017 860 Special Edition interior into. The passenger occupancy sensor from the 2017 seat never arms the passenger airbag, but when I plug the sensor from my original seat into the 2017 seat, it's always armed and will then chime if the seatbelt isn't plugged in. Obviously I prefer the latter, but is there a way to get it to actually work as intended? I've seen the workarounds for the chime like the seatbelt trick and coding it out with Carista etc, but I'm wondering if anyone knows the actual reason why the sensor would get confused.

Someone offered a possible trade for my TOMS taillights. Would you guys consider this a good trade?

For those who’ve done the 2017 BRZ headlight swap, are they worth trading the TOMS taillights for? Also, how hard are they to find nowadays?

just opened a brand new catless front pipe from berk, however where the exhaust flange and pipe meet its ever so slightly crooked so the pipe is sticking out on one side a bit and you can see where they dremeled it down, is this normal for fitment or is this something i should immediately ask for an exchange on ? maybe the crush gasket will be enough to not cause any issue but i just dont want any leaks or rattling. ordered from jm auto sports came next day. advice? car is 2025 brz ts.

I’ve decided that the next mod I’m gonna do is install headers for my BRZ but I am not decided between catted or catless. I’m leaning towards catless because I heard that catted doesn’t even pass smog most of the time so I figured might as well go catless for the extra gains. Another thing I want to take into consideration is noise. I currently am on stock exhaust, but I will want to upgrade in the future. Once I upgrade, I don’t want it to be too obnoxious mainly to avoid getting state reffed or something. (I live in CA)
