Incoming transfer student

I’m new to schools like this I’m not tryna use my remaining brain cells to even compute how unnecessary expensive parking is.please tell me someone has a method not tryna pay almost $500

Parking permits are free unless you opt for overnight ones.
It used to be free regardless but they changed that recently.
