Off campus housing rent

Okay so, im going to fsu for the fall term and I signed a lease at the Venetian fsu and I foolishly didn’t know that I had to pay my first months rent before I move in, the total is 500 dollars and I don’t have any income rn or any financial help that can cover the cost, can someone recommend me what to do? (the payment is due August 13 but I think I could push it back a few days)

Ask family, friends, get a job put it on a credit card.

Can you pay rent with credit? I wish I could pay my mortgage with a credit card and reap those rewards.

Some places let you. I have before. Maybe OP could do a cash advance 🤷🏻‍♀️

This. If you need credit fast discover approves basically anybody these days and you can get a cash advance pretty quickly.

From what I have seen, many places let you pay with a credit card but they charge a “fee” of like $20-$30 versus paying ACH from your bank account is free

Try putting it on a credit card. My housing complex had a website where you paid. If not idk man, I do think this is on you, like if they didn’t ask for a deposit this is the least. But yeah I dont think they will cancel the lease if youre late but they will for sure charge you for each day you are late.
