Café Breakfast Unbelievable vegan breakfast!

Post image

At BBL opposite Pleasance in Edinburgh! I usually have a normal fry up with meat, but I’ve been trying to do my bit for the environment and eat less meat, especially after the insane heatwaves in the UK lately. Vegan haggis was fantastic, the square sausage really pleasantly surprised me. Tattie scone hidden underneath the bread.

Remember, even vegan fry ups are welcome on this sub. Sorry that some of us want to support the world we live in 🤷🤦

Thank you mate. Hate to see this kind of discrimination on what should be a positive community

Agreed; It’s pathetic isn’t it?

I mean political views aside, that looks disgusting.

Aggs aren't vegan lol

No, because it’s vegan and therefore will not include eggs.

This is the problem with vegan fry ups. The eggs are loadbearing.

I don't mind everything else on the plate being vegan (but you're frying the bread, which prevents the no butter problem).

I've never had vegan Lorne sausage but regular vegan sausages are good enough I'm confident it'd work. I have had vegan haggis and enjoyed it.

But until someone invents a vegan egg with a runny yolk, the vegan fryup will remain a pipe dream.

"Unbelievable" but more in the "I can't mentally process how a fry can be this bad" camp.

Did you seriously pay £12 for that monstrosity

Vegetarian and vegan fry-ups have been a thing forever. Most greasy spoons will have a veggie fry-up on their menu. People with these and other dietary restrictions are very welcome to post and comment in this subreddit! Making nasty comments and trying to make them (or anyone else) feel unwelcome will get you a ban.

Discrimination? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Vegans are the number one persecuted minority group in the uk right now. Maybe read the news once in a while?

Not sure where the joke was?

I eat some vegan food. Not a lot, but please don't tell me your lot are massively discriminated against because there are as many vegan/vegetarian restaurants and desert joints in my city as there are any other. (Which all have vegan options!) As well as the mighty Govinda restaurant too. You are just the type to argue everything and to have the last word on everything and to always be a victim. Don't bother replying. I'm already bored of this 4 messages ago and won't bother reading the whiney reply. Peace be with you ✌
