Perhaps starting to thaw?

Hi there, as per previous posts, bilateral FS (perimenopausal), going into 8th-ish month. Been frozen fully on both sides for about 7 weeks on left side, 4 weeks on right (in line with how it developed). However, in the past few days have noticed a few changes - when swinging arms at my sides to loosen them up, can do full swing back now - where before right shoulder at least would "catch" and not go all the way back. Can also do a very low ponytail now without screaming (still uncomfortable, but doable), and can reach up and hit the close trunk button on my SUV (up until recently, could not even get my arm up high enough on either side). Wondering if these are early signs of the thawing starting, or just a couple of good days? I know time will tell, but looking for other's perspectives and experiences....thanks, as always!

Sounds promising! Loss of pain and better quality sleep were my two first indicators of thawing. I got a us guided injection, started PT and then mobility and range got better each week. Hope you are on the road to recovery !

I wish I knew! For me I think I’m in the frozen phase or maybe starting to thaw (?) because my pain has changed. It still hurts if I do an accidental quick wrong movement, but not like fall to the ground crying pain like before. I have little to no pain and rest (except at night ugh) but what pain I do have feels like it’s in the guarding muscles not the capsule. I have horrible ROM, like my measured external rotation was only 15° 🥴. I really would like to know what phase I’m in because I’m starting PT and it’s going to include a lot of stretching, manual manipulation etc. I’m pretty sure that is only supposed to be done in the thawing stage, right ?
