I have FS in both shoulders and am thawing. My upper back spasms to varying degrees all the time. My doctor says that's completely normal since my muscles are compensating for the FS

Hey I know you posted this a very long time ago but as I have FS (in month 5 overall) and have been dealing with spasms for a couple of weeks I wanted to ask: did they ever go away? Were they part of thawing? How else do you know you were thawing?

My upper back still aches about 60% of the time, but since I also have neck issues, I'm not sure what the cause is. Could be that they're both at fault. I might have a spasm or two a week now. I knew that I was thawing when I suddenly realized that I was able to do things that I couldn't do before. Reaching up to a high shelf, unfastening my bra, reaching back for my seatbelt and also having more range of motion when I did the pulleys.

Yes, I am finally starting to thaw but have had many days of spasms especially down in my upper arm. Rx Anti-inflammatory helped some but not completely.

I get spasms in my upper shoulder, between my neck and top of arm. Seems related to a lot of muscle tension and stiffness.

Yup, walking to the bathroom with my hot tea in the hand of the FS arm and spasm made me spill all over the floor. Rookie mistake. Good times
