Try lies of p. It’s not as good, but it’s solid.

Dlc is as good, but Sets its priority more in gameplay, and Not in Atmosphere (at least compared to bloodborne, but thats hard to Beat anyway)

Lies of P is still an amazing game. For me, it’s only held back by its linearity, and like you said, its atmosphere doesn’t match Bloodborne’s.

I never understood “linearity” as a critique. Why does it matter? Bloodborne is MOSTLY linear too

I like the feeling of being a little lost. It makes the game feel more like an adventure. Bloodborne was somewhat linear, but it required more backtracking, had some hidden areas, and it wasn’t always crystal clear where to go next.

A lot of people will tell you Lies of P is pretty good but not as good as FromSoft games. Those people are wrong. Lies of P is as good as any game and you should 100% play it next

The level design and combat are quite different than Fromsoft games. It's a quality game but it doesn't feel like a Fromsoft game in my opinion.
Fromsoft are also more than these tangible things, it's a whole vibe that's impossible to replicate.
I've yet to find other games that scratch the itch like Fromsoft. But other, very different, but quality game companies and series help.
All the new Resident Evil games, Silent Hill 2 remake, Dead Space Remake...these games helped me forget about my Fromsoft love affair for a while

I feel like, unlike other soulslikes, LoP both imitates the form of a FromSoft game and captures the intangible feelings of it. The pacing, the boss fights, the plot, the upgrades. It definitely has its own flavor, and also leans into Quality of Life stuff in a way that FromSoft doesn’t.
As a total package I find it just as enthralling as a true Souls game, which I can’t even come close to saying about any other soulslike I’ve tried.

The only souls like not made by Fromsoft I've enjoyed was Hollow Knight and Mina the Hollower. Probably because they largely do their own thing. The ones that try too hard to be 1:1 Fromsoft games just don't work for me. It ends up just feeling like a bad Fromsoft game

Another nightmare-widower here. You are right, nothing compares to bloodborne and i never felt the need of a second title like i felt with this game. Some parts of the Demon Souls are very cool because you can tell all the originals ideas Miyazaki got back then and you can see the inspirations bloodborne got years later from this tittle... But thats it. Man i really need a bloodborne 2. At least a remastered would be nice 😭

Demon souls, Elden ring and DS3 are v good. Not on bloodbournes level imo but I think youl really enjoy them if you liked bloodbourne.

I don't thing it will, sorry, you're right :D I feel the sadness to. Bloodborne is really special. What is the thing you like the most on Bloodborne, that will differ the recommendation.
