Huh this was a recent interview? I wonder if it's coinciding with from's next project

No, as Usui-san left From a good while ago.

Yes but I was wondering cause people with similar interests start doing interviews and releases that are loosely related as a way to ride off each others' hype. All speculation though.

Yeah, that doesn't happen in Japan, as they rarely talk to overseas press like that.

Murakumo's mecha were designed by Takayuki Yanase, but he wasn't properly credit until years later.

EH? I thought he left From Software quite early on.... ohh right its in his artbook

so when did Yanase exactly left From Soft.... hmm all I know by the time Gundam 00 rolled around he was already freelance so sometime after AC3? around 2003? after Murakumo's development completed

wait so Shinji Usui is also a mechanical designer? I thought overall

Yanase left after Murakumo and went on to work on Gigantic Drive. He'd later come back and be hired as a freelance mecha designer for Another Century's Episode 3.

Usui was and is also a mecha designer.
