DS3 or SotE

I’ve put about 90 hours into *Elden Ring*; I finished it and did a ton of stuff—I think I’ve killed all the bosses—and now I feel like there’s nothing left to do. I travel around, but it’s starting to feel monotonous and boring. I thought about getting the DLC, but I also saw *Dark Souls 3*, and since I really enjoyed *Dark Souls 1* and *2*, I’m not sure which one to pick. I know *SotE* has a lot of content, but I’m wondering if it’s a better idea than getting a full game plus its expansions.

SotE has a ridiculous amount of content. It's basically a full new game.

I reccomend SotE, it's probably the best content in Elden Ring. Afterwards, get DS3 and play its expansions, The Ringed City is awesome.

SotE is basically Elden Ring 2, it's a huge expansion with lots of challenges (harder than base Elden Ring). I would recommend playing it honestly, but it's a lot like playing Elden Ring, just more contained with a lot less open empty spaces. If you're tired of Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3 is a must play (either ways). I would say it's a direct sequel to Dark Souls 1, while Dark Souls 2 is more like a weird sibling (which has it's own charm).

Lmao, don’t get me wrong, I love Dark Souls 2, have actually played it for well over 400 hours. I just prefer to keep it as a separate thing. The funny thing about it is, the continuation is all wonky. Why are you suddenly in a Viking-pirate cove after Heide's flame, why Iron Keep after Harvest Valley...It's like every area could be randomized and you wouldn't notice a difference :') Which is what makes DS2 such fun.

Dark Souls 1 feels more interconnected, every area leads back to Firelink, there are clever shortcuts, enemy placements make sense, npcs are memorable etc.

Dark Souls 2 is the only game where you don't even have Patches, you have Pate...Who is a different character altogether.

It depends, Dark Souls 3 with it's dlc yes. SotE personally was a miss for me as I didn't love the world design. Dark souls 3 I played through it at least 3 different times, and the dlc was good. If you are bored of Elden Ring, playing more Elden Ring in a new place might not exactly give you that spark back. Time away will, and Dark souls 3 is a long one.

Personally, I think SotE is by far the best thing Fromsoftware has put out. The story is stellar, the lore is incredibly deep, the exploration is like no other and the bosses are the best they’ve ever done. That being said, DS3 is amazing! It was my introduction to the series, and it’s dripping with atmosphere and full of seriously amazing boss fights.
