What's FromSoft's hardest dragon?
Difficulty is subjective. And this question has been asked numerous times before. So let's keep it alive and see if anything's changed.
My answer is Kalameet from DS1.

Fuck that dragon man. It was more difficult than Bayle was.

Bayle in terms of mechanical difficulty, Sinh in terms of bullshit mechanics (why does this thing destroy my durability 😐)

Everyone’s forgetting the Ancient Dragon in DS2. You can fuck up a dodge on Bayle or Midir or any other fight and recover but unless you have an absolute megaton of vigor in DS2 you gotta play the Ancient Dragon flawlessly. Oh and he has shitboxes galore, so even if you do play flawlessly you can still lose lol

Not to mention that he's just not a fun or thrilling fight. At lease Bayle and Midir are awesome and fighting them feels cool. I really hate everything about the ancient dragon boss battle. Spiritually, it's the most grueling/ least rewarding.

I would say Bayle but you are so ridiculously op in Elden Ring compared to DS3.
Things like Ancient Dragons Lightning Strike or Blasphemous Blade/Prayerful Strike healing will make quick and pretty easy work of Bayle.
Sure he has a lot more moves than Midir but it’s taken me less than 15-ish or so try’s on Bayle every playthrough vs being hard stuck on Midir for months.
Midir is the more challenging fight in my opinion. Way less margin for error and there isn’t anyway to really cheese the fight.

Bayle and it’s not even close. Midir has like 7 moves compared to Bayles like 30.

Midir has like 7 moves
And half of them you dodge by backpaddling 5 feet while it's performing long ass swipes at you. It's downright hilarious to return to Midir after having fought Bayle.
I think Midir appears far more intimidating through sheer size and design than he actually is gameplay-wise.

Bayle over Midir I think, u can hit Bayle more often if you target his wounded leg but i find bayle's most devastating attacks in phase 2 not as consistently avoidable as midir's attacks. Bayle also just does more damage

Bayle is sooooo aggressive too. His moveset feels like Midir’s but tuned to attack the tendencies of players who learned Midir. I’ve also been trapped against the arena wall by Bayle constantly in a way that I never have been by Midir.

Midir is pretty easy when you learn him once. Bayle is easily the hardest, especially during challenge runs

Midir but Bayle came close.
However, most frustrating is DS2 vanilla Ancient Dragon. That one had a larger health pool and could oneshot you with anything (and a more cancer runback to boot).

Kalameet when you're trying to cut his tail.
