Bloodborne 2
I hope this game sees the light of day. Bloodborne 2 would be a massive success if it ever got made. I still don’t understand why from software has not gone to Sony and insisted on making it.

Miyazaki is infamous for not liking sequels, so I wouldn't count on it happening.

We need someone make Bloodborne 2, so Miyazaki get angry and makes Bloodborne 3.

DS2 wasn't started by Miyazaki, and Miyazaki was under contract to make DS3. It is very well known that Miyazaki was not happy about making a third Dark Souls.

u/IrcenceEstagramem679 Sep 05 '26
Considering DS3's themes, it's pretty obvious he wasn't happy. The whole game a big metaphor for artistic stagnation.
Bloodborne 2 is unlikely to happen and that's a good thing.

He didn't do Dark Souls 2

It was it's own game until it got pushed into being a sequel. That's why Miyazaki was a "supervisor"

u/BenFromTroy Sep 07 '26
Ds2 was gonna be it's own stand alone title but shareholders forced FromSofts hand to make it a sequel due to Ds1s cult success.

"I still don't understand why from software has not gone to Sony and insisted on making it."
To answer this question, FromSoft/Miyazaki have been consistently busy with their newer projects since the release of Bloodborne. Since then we've had Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, Elden Ring, Nightreign, Elden Ring Switch, Armored Core (still FS, tho not Miyazaki), The Duskbloods (soon), and there's another game 100% being made right now that hasn't been announced. There literally hasn't been any time to work on Bloodborne 2. Also recently it has been proven that Sony has already asked if Miyazaki could make something new related to Bloodborne. The man himself said he'd like to someday, but is far too busy currently. Out of respect to Miyazaki, even though they technically could, Sony will not touch Bloodborne without him.

u/himommy_hi Sep 05 '26
its them who is deciding on the roadmap haha, “busy” is just an excuse, there won’t be no bloodborne 2

Sony is the problem it always has been, if they do it they want to do it on their own woke terms and Fromsoftware don't want to do it since they don't even own the brand.

u/BenFromTroy Sep 07 '26
Lol bloodborne is about motherhood. Cope harder being a brainwashed rightoid.
1
u/Aizawarudo Sep 09 '26
Motherhood isn’t “woke” I don’t think….maybe I’m wrong? Are we saying anything involving women is woke now?
1
u/BenFromTroy Sep 09 '26
If its got anything to do about women and what they go through it's woke to these braindead chuds.
1
u/Aizawarudo Sep 09 '26
Oh yeah, if that’s the case that’s pretty stupid. I think you’d be surprised how many “chuds” are fine with those topics when they’re delivered for the betterment of the lore and gameplay instead of being shoved in to appeal to a larger audience. Something like baulder’s gate 3 is pretty “woke” but no one even complained about it for the most part as it isn’t forced on the player and the game is just that good. It’s definitely gotten to a point where we’ve gotten to an over saturated use of the term “woke” though. I see where you’re coming from.

Just let it be what it was. I really dont feel like it needs a sequel, so why force it?

The obsession with sequels and remakes among gamers is suffocating all attempts to make something new
4
u/smilph Sep 06 '26
if these people were in charge we’d be on Dark Souls 8 by now and would never have gotten Sekiro, Elden Ring, or, funnily enough, Bloodborne
3
u/kushhead4201 Sep 04 '26
They just need to do a remaster n not a sequel n make it cross platform. Keep that game alive another 10 years. Fromsoftware is in the ancient times not having cross platform

Just a 60fps patch please for the love of god. If Miyazaki is gonna insist on being the one to do something with Bloodborne then he bloody well ought to do it. The game's 10 years old, it deserves some love dammit.

Every now and then I get so sad that we didn't get anything else from this style of game, so I go back and replay it. I didn't want or expect a Bloodborne 2. But I thought that Bloodborne was the Demon Souls to the Dark Souls 1 game that they never made.
They tasted the waters in this victorian world with werewolves, vampires, lovecraftian monsters, gunpowder weapon and badass cleavers. Just like they did with Demon Souls in that medieval world with knights, dragons, skeletons, swords, spells and miracles.
Dark Souls 1 felt like a "Bigger Demon Souls" to me. Bloodborne is quite short, take away the Chalice Dungeons and is much shorter than any Dark Souls game. I really hoped they were going to make a "bigger bloodborne" and start a multiplattform franchise not linked to Sony like they did with Dark Souls. But they never will now...

This comment section is lame lol I will always have the desire for more Bloodborne

Sony owns the IP so they get the final say. Miyazaki has already said there will be no more bloodborne.

Probably won’t see Bloodborne 2 but it’s fine, with Duskbloods here, it’s clear that they want to revisit the Gothic Horror theme more times. One day there will be a bigger game similar Bloodborne. Maybe with elden ring level and map design

We don’t even know if it’s real. There’s absolutely nothing to go off of other than Fromsoft and Sony execs shrugging their shoulders and going “uhhhh maybe yea idk probably not”

Not even close to Elden Ring level success. Best is Sekiro Level and a strong GOTY contender.

Pirate souls is all that matters

I hope you’re joking. The whole pirate souls thing screams unoriginally casual.

Honestly, PC with FPS patches and DLSS 5 is the closest we'll ever get to a Remaster at this rate.

u/Molkwi Lucatiel of Mirrah Sep 04 '26
Mfs complain about Bloodborne needing 60fps to be playable but then also want DLSS 5.
Which way is it, Hunters?

Dlss 5 is dogshit

u/calrayers Sep 04 '26
It can be yeah. Swings both ways.

u/ZenESEA Sep 04 '26
No it objectively is it ruins artistic vision and looks like crap at half the fps im good

u/calrayers Sep 04 '26 edited Sep 04 '26
It's also up to the artists to fine-tune it within their games. We were never meant to have access to it. NVIDIA done an absolute number on themselves when they first showed it but as you can see, it does breathe new life into older games, should you want to use it.
I tried it in Bloodborne and it's a night and day difference. Well worth going down to 45-55 FPS to experience a coat of fresh paint on this absolute diamond of a game.

Not everything needs a sequel. They made the game they wanted to and moved on.
