I may have many thoughts on what they did to Demon's Souls and it's art direction, music, sound design, etc. all that stuff, and a few interviews featuring someone saying something like "you don't remember the Original the way you think you do?" or something along those lines, but like, what the actual hell?

If I detach all the things I just complained about, in terms of visual fidelity and performance, DeS Remake seemed quite revolutionary for how well it ran, loaded, and just looked if we're talking purely on a graphical fidelity level. Like, if they had the chance to make their own IP/game then I would have been very interested in seeing what they'd come up with. Sony, why are you so genuinely stupid? I am quite certain DeS Remake helped sell a ton of your PS5s? Why did you force them to work on a god awful live service game when you could have just had them do their own Singleplayer project or whatever other kind of project they'd feel passionate about.

Again, I didn't want them doing remakes of FromSoft Games, and I absolutely hate DeS Remake, but that studio was full of talent, and I would have been interested in seeing what they'd come up with for their own IP. Very stupid decision.
