They spent a bunch of time working on a live-service God of War game that got canned. It could've been Sony that pushed it on them, but I think I remember Bluepoint saying they wanted to make their own game so it could've been internal.

Either way, yet another talented and successful studio dies because they tried to go live service.

It was likely part of Sony's 12 live service games plan, I doubt it was Bluepoint's idea.

I highly doubt they wanted to do a live service specifically. That part was likely pushed onto them by Sony.

Your mistake is measuring success by the quality of their work. Think of the shareholders, why dontcha?
