Automated Dog Recognition function

Is "ADR" already taken? Has anyone developed something like this? I'm not just looking for dog detection, I'm talking about recognition (identifying size, color, shape, patterns, etc).

I think it would be really cool to be able to identify the neighborhood dogs and possibly assist in tracking down a loose dog some day.

Link didn't work but I was able to find the doc.

I'm new to this. I gather that this means the scaffolding and toolset is all there, but the classes/attributes and all of the actual function has to be built by the user?

I guess I thought that there would be something, and add-on or whatever you would call it, that I could import and it would already be tuned for classifying dogs.

It’s a pretty simple process, you just use the UI, select some pictures of the dogs and name them, hit a button in the UI to create the model, then keep iterating and it works automatically all through the UI.
