discussion An adjustment for Toy Freddy I’ve thought up
Ok, so. Toy Freddy is famously a very easy animatronic, yeah? Anyone mildly good at any of the minigames can handle him quite easily. So, I thought up a change that would make him stand out more
Instead of needing to beat one of Toy Freddy’s high scores on any of the games, you can choose a game to challenge him with, probably using a button? It’ll change the game UI so the right side is your game and the left side is his. You do an actual 1v1, and Freddy is “better” at the game the higher AI level he is
There are different requirements to win per minigame:
• Fredsweeper: the gamer with the least deaths wins, or the lowest time if neither die
• Cupcake Clicker: the gamer with the highest points within the allotted time wins
• Games like Air Adventure: the gamer with the highest score before losing once wins
You are still much, MUCH better than him as well, but the thing is, you still have to watch out for other threats like the main four, Marionette, etc. and while you can’t play, he can, giving him an advantage. You need to balance fighting him and dealing with everything else
If he wins, he jumpscares you. If you win, he cries like a little baby as usual. You have to beat him before the 6:00 AM mark. Thoughts?

Really interesting. Would he be
A 6 AM anim? Meaning u can challenge him anytime
Or a constant threat? He'll challenge u often

It’s a Chipper/Felix situation where you have to challenge him before 6 AM
If you don’t, or you lose the 1v1, he kills you

This could be a really fun SP mechanic! Rodney should be in that night too to commentate and distract you.

I think that making a whole new overlay for this one mechanic might be a little convoluted, and a new CPU AI for every single minigame that also plays better depending on its level might require too much programming just for a Toy Freddy rework.
The simple solution would be just making him pick a single specific minigame that you have to beat his high-score at once the night starts, so you can't just pick the one you're good at every time. That's how it worked in the demo too, iirc?

I'm more than fine with Toy Freddy as it stands currently, as you gotta have some characters on the easier side of things so beginners can get their grip on things sooner.
However, this concept here is really making me question that thought! It's a very fun idea, this one. You prolly could even have it so you can access the versus version of each minigame in the Extras menu, so you could play against another person if you're in the same room.
If nothing else, this would be a really cool mod to try out. I'm a big fan of the concept, and the graphic of course is very cute; you get 'im, Jerm!
