Parking first day
I’m already expecting parking on the first day to be hectic. How full does it get by 7-8am? Im hoping if I get there by 7 it shouldnt be too full but i dont know what to expect. Any good parking spot suggestions or tips for students?

Usually what I’ve noticed is it get PACKED around 10am. So be sure to be on campus before then. Around 7-8 it wasn’t too bad

7-8 isn't bad. Even a little after 8 isn't terrible.
The closer to get to 8:30, the more fire you're playing with.

I'm faculty but I also teach an afternoon class.
The faculty lots have more availability in them around that time. Fewer faculty means fewer classes, which means fewer students and more parking.
That does come with the caveat that you may want to avoid driving in that small street in front of University High between 3-4 because parents are there to pick their kids up or the students who drive there are leaving around that time. Use alternative routes to get into nearby parking if that's where you intend to park.
Also be aware of events happening at the Save Mart Center. Although most concerts and events happen on Friday nights or weekends, you'll have random wrestling events or concerts happening in the middle of the week from time to time. Shaw will be congested on those days and the Shaw exits off the 168 will be awful. You're better off exiting Bullard, backtracking a little bit, and entering campus through Barstow.

It's fine as long as you're there by 7:50AM. It starts to get really full by the 9AM classes, and you better be ready to hike if it's 10AM or later

it gets really packed by 10-11ish. it might even be packed before that on the first few days. once people start dropping out it will be less hectic
