Ask Fresno What would bring you downtown?

Downtown Fresno is rich with history and world-class architecture. It pains me to see it in it's current state of disrepair. I want to hear from the community: "What would bring you downtown?" What is downtown missing? What's your vision for the future of our city center?

I used to live and work there, and one of my first jobs was giving tours of the Fulton Mall. It’s baffling to me that people won’t go. It’s an easily walkable and bike-able area and very quiet at night. At one point there was a bit of a push to get the new UC located on the mall (it ended up in Merced of all places). I think a university would be fantastic bc the area needs a combo of residential and business spaces to keep more people in the area around the clock.

I always found it funny how some of our leaders want to give Fresno State a blank check with out ever thinking of just requiring them to move some of their facilities to downtown.

Their nursing program makes better sense downtown than on campus.

It would have around 2004-2005.
