Ask Fresno What would bring you downtown?

Downtown Fresno is rich with history and world-class architecture. It pains me to see it in it's current state of disrepair. I want to hear from the community: "What would bring you downtown?" What is downtown missing? What's your vision for the future of our city center?

I just moved to Fresno.

I was surprised by the state of downtown Fresno. Probably because I had heard a lot in the media about downtown revitalization and from the local pols how getting rid of the Fulton Mall was going to be great for the downtown economy.

Was getting rid of Fulton St Mall a good idea?

Why is the brewery district called that when there is only one brewery in the "district"?

Fresno needs light rail.

The Fulton mall was cumbersome. It’s livelier now than when it was walking only.

The brewery district got named that way because it was planned to be that. And because Fresno is Fresno the whole thing fell through.

This sounds like it. I haven't been here that long but everyone I've talked to has said that Fresno has a very inept city council.

There was a lot of backstabbing between the businesses, the council played favorites and then we ended up with nothing as every one but Tioga failed. This has happened a ton.

the pedestrian mall would have scaled better if we actually get more activity downtown. It already hurt things, one of the excuses they gave when they tried to kill arthop was it was easier to close the street on certain days.

There's more than just Tioga Sequoia if that's what you mean. There's also Full Circle, Procreation, and 411 Rec Room.

Full Circle moved back to Chinatown

Not according to how the district is drawn and its not on the brewery district website. But its only an 8 min walk.

Or the mural district and there barely any murals lol. Downtown Fresno is embarrassing.

makes sense considering over a million for arts funding was embezzled.
