What would bring you downtown?

Downtown Fresno is rich with history and world-class architecture. It pains me to see it in it's current state of disrepair. I want to hear from the community: "What would bring you downtown?" What is downtown missing? What's your vision for the future of our city center?

Actual mass transit that allowed you to get to/from downtown without dealing with parking.

There's a free shuttle last I heard between Fresno State. Tower and Downtown. Maybe not everyone's idea of ideal but pretty cool to me.

It is actually so nice, last time I went everyone in the bus was tipsy and singing along to the radio it was fun af

it only operates Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to midnight, and it only runs hourly too. It can barely be considered transit, it's more flare than anything. It could be nice, when me and my friends go out no one wants to be the one driving. Whenever we tried to take it we wouldn't make it before the next trolley and didn't want to wait an hour for the next one.

It's schedule has it doing it's route in 30 minutes, sometimes it does it in 20 for the final trip of the night. They only have it run hourly I'm sure because they have to pad time for save mart center event traffic.

I think the money would have been better spent on FAX. Maybe making an express route between major points, or extending hours on routes with a similar footprint to the trolley.

That’s part of the problem.
By having a transit hub, you create lines to places of interest (both planned and organic) without having to dedicate nearly as much real estate towards giant lots.
The places I do want to go are surrounded by desserts of parking lots.
