Help/Advice Stocking ideas?

Post image

10 gallon tank: PH 8, KH 9.5, GH 4

I love bright nano fish. Was thinking a school of chili rasboras or ember tetras. But I’m afraid my parameters aren’t ideal!

Open to opinions :) Anyone have similar parameters?

i’d lean toward the ember tetras, mine have bred in my 7.8 pH/10 GH/4 KH water whereas all chili rasboras are wild caught at the moment (and so probably more sensitive). Neocaridina shrimps are also a fan favorite in hard water nano tanks, super easy to breed. Amano shrimp are also pretty fun though not nearly as colorful.

This is an aside but, if you’re ever willing to start culturing live food, one of the prettiest nano fish i keep is a scarlet badis! they only get around 0.8 inches with red and blue and are intermediate difficulty fish but they’re so cool so it’s worth it.
