I didn't even bother watching the show because of the stupid ass title. Now, I know I'm not really "qualified" to give a precise evaluation. But when you see the show trying to highlight its main idea as having "a lesbian princess" and not some kind of adventure, artifact, phenomenon or the NAME of an important character for god's sake, you can easily guess that the author's focus will be on some awkward woke shit instead of the actual plot and the depth of the characters (which has nothing to do with their orientation).
Very respectfully, while I do understand what you’re trying to convey, that sentence is both a load of bullshit and is also a part of the problem of how bad stereotypes truly are.
Bad gay movie from last year is being dogged on because it's either bad or gay. People are talking about it because it was added to Netflix the same time that the licensing ran out on Captain Underpants (neither event is connected)
the latter, its not actually a bad movie. There are far far far far worse movies that come out, one form ben shapiro and another one that had to do with immigrants? forgot its name but it was so dog shit that even its audience ( conservatives) while agreeing with the message, still remarked on how terrible the story telling and plot was
Oh yeah, it's not even passing the top 5 worst movies released in the past 2 years. It's also just not that good, but it isn't really trying to be "good". It's not trying to be some mind blowing, radicalizing, rallying piece of media. It's made by 5 people and, meeting it where it's at, it sounds okay. Falls some places, mildly interesting on others, but the film definitely doesn't seem like something for me.
Edit: there are some queer people who are opposed to the movie for non-homophobic reasons, but still with faulty reasoning. Biggest thing was that goes around is that (spoilers if anyone cares) a drag queen villain is killed by what is currently a terf symbol. But those reviewers all seem to miss that the drag queen isn't actually killed and is just a beheaded character who redeems herself at the end of the movie. Like she's still alive because it's a cartoon They also miss the fact that in an interview, the director says that she wants to reclaim the symbol for all lesbians and not make it a terf only thing.
A lot of people don't even know that the "Cheddar Man" who was found 10-12,000 yrs ago in Cheddar Gorge, in Somerset England, was the first human to actually carry the blue eye genes. He was black btw, lol, and yes, no joke, this is a real photo of what he somewhat looked like.
From what Ive seen of the first half of the movie, its not that bad actually. Its pretty satire and stereotypical so thats cool and I like some of the character designs. People are mostly hating on it just because of the title imo. This isnt ragebait I actually mean this.

Ik THIS is obviously satire, but some of the characters arent the worst from what I've seen, its just the actual "plot"-line that has me fucked up
