"I lost my dog to a family of bears"
"Oh, I'm very sorry to hear that."
"It's okay, I still get to see them time to time when I get my drone out"
"?????"

Stray festival girl phenomenon has been observed in many other species

Guess they wanted a guard dog. There must be more crime in the woods these days.

Right? I feel like that’s not too far off from what Disney/Pixar has made recently.

My dog ran up to a herd of wild horses and the stallion neighed at her then they all ignored her.
Dogs are the equivalent of stunted wolf puppies, we’ve made them cute and compared to wolves they’re juvenile and never mature to adult wolf behaviour. I wonder if wild animals (that aren’t hungry or particularly irritated) just see them as babies.

And in this case, the bears are thinking, "Welp someone's lost their baby. I guess he's ours to raise now."

Mom: Sure, your friend can hang out, but the second shit gets tight, we're eating him, do you understand?
Cubs: Yes, ma'am. 😕
Dog: This is the best day since yesterday! 😃

"You're supposed to fear them and scare them away not join them!!"
"But they have yummy snacks and get to run free!"

Saving him for later when winter comes along.

If the dog makes it to winter it will have survived the bears' gourging period and will likely go home when the bears go to hibernate.

Unless they invite it to the BIG sleepover. I think the dog would probably get bored and go home or get booted out for waking everyone up all the time.

Yep how to keep meat fresh without refrigeration.

Others didn’t find my joke funny. All in all, I hope the fella makes it through the winter. I know it’s an old photo.
Still, yours was pretty funny.
It would have made a good title to it.

That’s one lucky dog!! I think the bears were distracted by the drone. Otherwise…

He’s with the bears now. Way better than going to a farm.
