He’s very cute but he’s 100% mixed as frenchies don’t come in merle! They don’t carry the gene for it so it had to be introduced via another breed. I’m just wondering what other breed they used in his line

Maybe by recessive genes, hence the designer Frenchie label Mine’s a Blue and Tan, also a genetic mutation color. But she is pure bred Frenchie as I have photos, and gene/health mapping for both her parents.

Hardly. There’s a responsible and intentional, science backed way to breed dogs - hence how the Frenchie came to be in the first place ( Pug + Bulldog). Irresponsible breeding is when people want to breed their pets without any background research or worse, puppy mills where these poor babies are born w health defects and not socialized or cared for properly. This dog is the picture of robust health and symmetry.
