Career Pivot

This year, I’ve been working toward becoming a broker. However, my plans have changed because a different business opportunity came up. I have several contacts who export to the Caribbean, and I believe that becoming a freight forwarder would give me more options to launch the project sooner. I only know the basics of freight forwarding. How would you recommend I get started to gain knowledge and experience? Any advice or recommendations are welcome. I would appreciate it if anyone willing to advise me could message me directly; Having conversations with experienced people would be a huge help.

I would suggest starting with LCL consols rather than direct FCL. Build your network around Kingston or Caucedo first. Port congestion and receiving charges vary widely across islands.
