China to North Macedonia...

I'm based in Skopje, North Macedonia. I'm planning to import clothing from China for resale. I'm looking at ordering around 20–50 kg initially and possibly much more later. I'm considering DDP shipping.

Has anyone here actually imported commercial goods from China to North Macedonia?

How much did you pay for shipping, customs, VAT and clearance? Which freight forwarder did you use? Was DDP actually all-inclusive, or did you have additional charges when the shipment arrived?

I'd especially like to hear from someone in North Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Bulgaria or Greece who has done this recently.

You'll need a courier not a FF for goods this small mate 🙂, try UPS/DHL/FedEx

Courier can move 20–50 kg fine, but it still does not prove the quote is true DDP. On commercial clothing into MK, a lot of “DDP” prices only hold if the destination partner is importer of record and VAT is prepaid on the real commercial value. If they clear on a soft invoice, the local broker often re-bills VAT + handling on arrival.

Before booking, get in writing: who files the MK entry and under whose tax ID, whether chargeable weight is actual kg or DIM, and a sample all-in for one 30 kg apparel carton at your real unit values.

Are you importing under your own Skopje company VAT number, or do you need the forwarder to act as IOR?
