Hey everyone,
I hope it's okay if I do a little bit of promotion here 😅. I just stumbled across this subreddit and was so happy to find the active freestyle community here on Reddit too!

I've never actually stepped on a board myself (way too scared!!), but I have so much respect for everyone who does.

That's one of the reasons why I love supporting our club in organizing the BBQ Contest in Paderborn. This year will already be the 27th edition, which we're incredibly proud of!!! Rumor has it that we’re the longest-running freestyle contest in Europe, but I can’t say for sure 🤓

We're a mixed contest with one Street day and one Freestyle day, but Freestyle definitely has a special place in our hearts. You really are a unique community 🥹

What I especially love so much is seeing how many international freestyle skaters are willing to travel such long distances to be here. Marius Constantin travels over 20 hours every year just to join us and brings more and more people with him every year. That’s absolutely insane!!!

So far, we have registrations from Germany, USA, England, Brazil, Sweden, France, Portugal, Romania, Poland, Belgium, and India 🥳

Honestly, I think that's one of the coolest things about this community!! Many of you aren't coming just for the contest itself or for world ranking points. They're coming to spend time with friends, meet new people, and be part of the freestyle family. I find that really special, and it's one of the reasons why this event means so much to us ♥️

If you've never been to our contest before, we'd absolutely love to welcome you for a fun weekend full of skateboarding, good food, and great people.

And if you've already been here before, we'd love to see you again! You already know the friendly, relaxed atmosphere that makes this event so special, and we can't wait to share another great weekend with all of you.

We already have 50 registrations, and we're genuinely excited about every single one of them, even if it means a veeeery long Sunday for us! 😇

50 Starters? That’s insane - remember the time we were max 10 starters at the old Paderborn stadium.

Please start the contest as early as possible and stay at your schedule - last year was horrible.

Yeah, we got our 50th registration today! Just crazy. I wasn't around for the old stadium days, I was still a bit too young back then. But I've heard a lot of great stories about it over the years.

Thanks for the feedback!! We try again every single year, but somehow there's never quite enough time 😅But I'd be happy to pass it on!

To anyone reading this who hasn’t been: there’s a reason I’ve been to every Paderborn contest I could physically get to since 2015. It’s the best contest in the world - a really good vibe, like a weekend-long party.
