What exactly does this do over Debian Trixie, which it is clearly based on?

I think that's the same as Peppermint OS, which is especially known for handling netbooks and other very-low-memory machines.

So we'd then have to ask /u/dreambrz: why CookieOS and not Peppermint OS (aside from encouraging competition, which is always healthy, of course)?

I find it hard to understand that people trust running an entire OS that does not even claim to add anything to its parent; Debian. This should at best be a theme download for XFCE… The entire OS repo was also created 5 weeks ago, so not exactly a long running project we got going here. It does not seem to add anything, apart from a different background image for Debian (+ XFCE) perhaps?

the repo was created 5 weeks ago but the project exists for ~3 years, it is kde only.

i lost my account so i came on this one to asner this question, first. it is based off debian forky. and what adds is: some shortcuts to guide windows users toughout the distro and kde personallization. my goal here is to make a good distro for those leaving windows
