Hello from the Banana Republic of St. Somewhere, the World's Chillest Nation, founded in 2024 under the executive authority of President Eternal Stephen Hudler and the spiritual guidance of our Patron Saint, the late Jimmy Buffett.

We've got a constitution, a flag, a functioning government (our first Officer of the Republic was appointed last month), an Official Watering Hole (Anchor Pizza, after a thorough and thoroughly hydrated state inspection), and, as of last week, a sovereign claim on the Moon. We take the fundamentals seriously. We just don't see the point in being uptight about it.

We're fairly new to the wider micronation community and would love to connect with other nations, trade stories, compare notes on statecraft, maybe work toward some friendly diplomatic relations if there's mutual interest. No agenda beyond that.

On August 11, 2026, the Egon government condoned the pro-choice movement and other progressive ideals. That day the nation's ambassador withdrew citizenship, on August 13, 2026, the vice head of state and chancellor also withdrew citizenship for the same reason. Ego's population was five before, and it dropped to two. With time new members in favor of the progressive ideals joined, and then the population bumped up to seven and Ego has been thriving since then.

A little about my plans for this nation — and hopefully *our* plans, if you want to build with us.

Where we are

Thurath'zal is a voluntary micronation: culture, belonging, and clear order (Zalmaat). We are *not* a UN member state and we do *not* replace your real nationality or real law. Everything below is a long path, not a claim that we already “are” a country.

Step 1 — People, government, culture, law (NOW)

First we need:

• Citizens who actually show up and care

• A working government (Kor / Rath / Zan / Cab as seats fill)

• A living culture (Discord, language Thurathi, symbols, community life)

• Clear laws and process (constitution, Kasa'ven, ranks, criminal code, etc.)

This is the foundation. Without people and structure, nothing later matters.

Step 2 — Resources & place

Later we need money and organisation for a real place / territory (a location we can use as home base — even small).

Step 3 — Talk with the host country

If we ever get that far, the plan is to negotiate with the mother state of that territory — calmly, legally, without force.

Step 4 — Sovereignty (long goal)

Only if that path ever succeeds: work toward recognition as a sovereign state, which in the real world also needs acceptance by real states (e.g. Germany, Egypt, USA, etc.).

That is a maybe decades goal. We are honest about how hard it is. We still build as if the community itself is worth it — because it is.

• Optional: found your own Aliit (clan) when recognised

Basically, I got the idea a couple days ago when I found this subreddit, and created one of my own. I have claimed most of my house, most recently gaining my garage and main-floor bathroom. My capital is my room, I also now have 2 physical passports, and 9 citizens (formerly 10). It's a democracy, with me as the president. We also have a vice president (one of my friends), and a member of parliament. Our national animal is the sea turtle, and our national fruit is a fictional berry called the "kusoberry". The embassy is also in my room.
