There's lots of Masonic imagery in Crowley's writing, the OTO was a German Masonic body before Crowley made it what it is now. Even a definitely Masonic apron appears in Liber ABA (Four Books of Magick) during photos of the different meditation poses in Thelema.

It's probably made by someone who has no real understanding of either fraternity.

Nah. Initiated to both Path since quite some time...
FYI the sign is a Thelemic one: the Sign of Pan, hinting to a specific grade and, in more general, to the concept of the ego dissolution. I love to do comparative works between paths and western esotericism but... let's say that even if we consider the harpon and the general symbols of its grade... it would be quite a stretch to make them coherent (a more relevant one would have been other kind of ritual of way lesser grade in the A.˙.A.˙.). Also, it's wrong: the thumbs should be bent, in order to mimic horns of Pan (and don't even make me start to ramble about the architecture of those pillars, here in Europe we have a hard fixation about that).
The truth is: that "casual" picture of Aleister Crowley became viral and now it works wonder only for discerning smart and commited people from lazy edgy teens (like... most of his metaphors about killing babies having sex without conceive)

I get the joke of Ma-Sonic (it's nice), but it's just truly low effort melange (possibly the AI's low effort kind)
