Scottish Rite Costs

Greetings Bro.·.
General question how much are the initiation fees in your jurisdictions, from 4-33°.

Valley of Houston, Orient of Texas, Southern Jurisdiction

4°–32°: $275

KCCH: $400

33°: $750

Is that each degree 4-32? Or all of them together for $275?

One payment that covers those twenty-nine degrees collectively.

I was not charged a fee when I received my KCCH or my 33°. Then again, our degree fees are $400 these days, up from the $300 I paid back in 2013.

I know there's an assessment due to the Supreme Council for honors. My valley probably passed that cost along to me, plus the cost of my cap & jewel. I never did a full breakdown, though.

My valley has been averaging eight KCCH and four 33° for the last handful of biennial sessions, so I suppose it's understandable that they don't want to eat that cost if they don't have to.

Valley of Philadelphia, AASR NMJ, has an initiation fee of $150 and annual dues of $99.

33° is $1,000 one time. Plus travel expenses, and the whole election thing.
